Koreatown is a vibrant LA neighborhood fille with hidden gems, bars, eateries, and a collision of cultures. As the name suggests, the atmosphere in Koreatown is heavily influenced by Korean culture. The neighborhood is a favorite destination among foodies city-wide for its endless selection of authentic Korean restaurants, but the community has a much more diverse character than that: the broad range of cultural influences is exemplified in landmarks like the synagogue and contemporary art gallery of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple, the Latin fusion cuisine of Roy Choi’s restaurants, and the popular German/Korean/Hawaiian tinged gastropub, Biergarten.
Although the area is a hot spot for LA residents’ day trips, Koreatown is known as one of the best places to live in LA. Most locals rent their homes and enjoy parks, coffee shops, and stores within walking distance of their apartments.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Cozy Apartment in Koreatown
One of the worst properties I have lived in. Cons: 1) Walls are incredibly thin (you really can hear everything) 2) There are roaches 3) Management is so incompetent and unresponsive you would think they are paid to not do their job 4) Packages are stolen and management does little to address the issue 5) The gate to the garage has been left open for multiple days, spanning several months, due to it breaking multiple times. Tenants have received notices of cars in the garage being broken into and despite requests to fix it, at times it remains open for nearly a week (parking costs $125/month) 6) The front metal gate, which should be locked, was broken for weeks and allowed anyone who pulled on it access to the whole building 7) Internet randomly goes out sometimes and management is slow to address the issue. Horrible if you work from home. Pros: 1) You are near some nice restaurants and in a walkable part of LA 2) The maintenance/repair staff is helpful and friendly if something is wrong with an appliance in your apartment (which happens often so you'll become familiar with them as a result of the poor quality of the apartment) I chose to live here because I liked Koreatown and wanted something close to the action. The location itself is nice but with the increasing presence of a growing homeless population, it makes it feel less safe (there was a tent set up 15 feet from the front entrance of the apartment). Management really is inept and you will find constant reminders of this if you live here for longer than a month. For what you pay you should be getting more. There is so much development in Koreatown that you could easily find a better place to live in the area.
1. Roaches everywhere. I had a fumigation, and within days, I'd see more - it is a building issue 2. Thin walls. I got up to use the restroom, and the downstairs neighbor complained that I was stomping. This happened multiple times 3. Neighbors are loud. You can hear the construction outside. 4. Package theft all the time
Previous reviews say it all. Poorly managed, common area's never cleaned, overpriced for the tiny living space.
Somehow, everyday it gets worse here. The place is disgusting and not maintained. So many leaking pipes in the garage.
Place would be great if the walls weren’t so thin. You can hear your neighbors full-on conversations even when talking at a normal tone. Property management is poor and does not resolve noise issues in a timely manner. They basically tell you to resolve them yourself.
The manager is the owner but say she is the manager. Owner advertised that Apartments are smoke free but they not, you will see persons smoking in the hallways and smoking coming from Apartments. Owner, who claims to be manager will say one price for rent but to another person a different price for same size apartment. Not pet free either
