Located about five miles west of the University of South Florida, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Adventure Island, and University Mall, the charming Carrollwood neighborhood is convenient to everything Tampa has to offer, but slightly removed to be a peaceful escape at the end of the day. A portion of Lake Carroll extends into the neighborhood on its west side, providing beautiful views for those selecting rentals near the lake. Dale Mabry Highway, which forms the neighborhood's western border, provides ample shops and restaurants for residents.
Carrollwood is convenient for commuters, situated about nine miles northwest of downtown Tampa and less than 10 miles northeast of Tampa International Airport. Residents of Carrollwood are also close to Tampa's Lowery Park Zoo, and the beaches -- including popular Honeymoon Island State Park and Caladesi Island State Park -- are only about 20 miles west.

Property Ratings at Countrywood
Very solid for the price, no insects if you keep a clean place. The leasing staff is very helpful, Michelle and Madelaine specifically have helped me many times in the 13 months I've lived in a studio here. Big closet, small sink. Great starter place
Interesting fact. Florida is on of the wettest states in the country. Tampa receive around 46.3 inches of rainfall a year. Most of that water has managed to find it's way into not one but both of the apartments I have rented from Countrywood apartments. The first apartment was a ground floor one bedroom unit. While the rent is reasonable for the area and amenities, it's unjustifiable when the buildings have been left to decay to moldering piles of disrepair. Night after night we'd wake to find the bedroom carpet soaked through. Water would run down the INSIDE of the window like a fountain and seeped up through the cracked concrete foundation. Mold, particularly black mold, is a HUGE problem. I thought once we moved into a 2nd floor unit things would be much better but we STILL have mold and the leasing company does nothing other than send a man over with a rag and a bleach bottle. There are much cleaner apartments in the same area that offer the same amenities. Until this leasing company begins to reinvest in their actual apartment structures, and not just cheap cosmetic fixes, it will only get a worse, I do not recommend, especially for families with children. Mold, lead paint chips, and near constant flooding.
The apartments are conviently acessable, great area, close to everything. Office staff are friendly. Apartment acessories are old , and the one fault iz a bar next to phase 1, that brings alot of drama. Within 3mos of living here had my bike stolen , someone shot in our parkin area and my car broken into!!
