Property Ratings at Continental Gardens
Worst place I’ve ever lived. The upstairs hot water heater has been leaking for a year which has cause black mold. Now it exploded through the ceiling and there is black mold covering everything and the landlord has done nothing and says he cannot accommodate me and my young daughter who now has severe asthma and lung infections. It is I livable and landlord keeps saying there are no other units available me when clearly there are. Save yourself the horrible pain this is caused our lives and RUN THE OTHER WAY!
I lived in Continental Gardens for 2 years. I loved my apartment. I had a 1 bedroom on the South side of the complex. Everyone in the office is nice and the maintenance is good and quick to respond. I never had an issue and both moving in and out was easy. I would definitely recommend Continental Garden to anyone looking for a nice clean affordable community!

Thanks for the nice review! Continental Gardens Management
I really am not the type to write negative reviews, but this one is 100% warranted. It is worth it to me if this review helps deter another woman from moving in here and suffering from a situation like mine and feeling unsafe here. The amount of times that I have complained about my upstairs neighbor in which nothing had ever been resolved is honestly embarrassing on their part. I had notified the office on multiple occasions about the noise complaints, and that I had to even go as far as calling noise violations to the police (also got me no where). This past week, my neighbors left their groceries in our back door foyer, in 90+ degree heat. When I went to use the back door 3 days later it was still there and smelt like something died. When I notified the office I was told that “I could throw it out.” Why would I throw their rotting groceries out? Why is that my problem? This week, I called the police around 12 a.m., as instructed to do so and after they came, that only resulted in my upstairs neighbors being immature and being louder. Mind you “quiet hours,” as noted in the lease, start at 10 p.m. I was woken up three times and they were loud and screaming until at least 1 a.m., which is when I left because I felt unsafe staying here any longer. It is clear that the landlord does not care about certain tenants here, and one would think that they would take complaints from a woman especially, a little more seriously. I am so glad I did not extend my lease for another year in this joke of a complex. I wasted so much money here just to feel neglected by whoever runs this place. The black mole and the bugs are a nice touch too. Thanks for the anxiety and sleepless nights in my “home.”
Continental Gardens was a first-time home for my now husband and I. When we first moved in in June 2016, we were so ecstatic to be living together and were so proud of our little apartment. Fast forward to three years later and we cannot wait to leave! Besides the neighbor downstairs from us who is constantly smoking marijuana and stinking up our apartment, the slobs that live in the building who just throw their trash on the grass, and the fact that the walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors’ conversations on a daily basis, our biggest complaint about Continental Gardens is the parking. Over a year ago, management enforced that ONLY TWO tenants are authorized to park in front of the buildings, while visitors and additional tenants’ vehicles must be parks around the buildings, near the dumpsters. “All Others Will Be Towed” is just a scare tactic and Continental Gardens does not do a thing to enforce their own rule. Coming home to our building with random vehicles parked in front is the most infuriating thing in the world.

We're sorry your experience at Continental Gardens was not up to your expectations. From your comments, it seems like most of your dissatisfaction is with your fellow tenants. As far as the parking situation, we enforce the rules the best we can. I think the many owners of cars that have been towed will attest to that.
I just recently moved here and the process was super easy. Found some discrepancies moving in and they fixed it immediately. The tennis court net is hanging on for dear life and there's only one goal at the basketball court that is up. (it's bend and broken) Other than that, it's a quiet area and the neighbors are to themselves yet friendly when you do see them. There's a furniture store, liquor store and a grocery store nearby. Not to mention the shore is only 15 minutes away! I love living here, the area is so convenient.
I moved here in 2007 and I won't live anywhere else. I am Home for the rest of my life. I have been so happy since day one! My apartment is fantastic! The maintenance crew is superior and I am so grateful for each one of them. I am extremely lucky to have the great fortune to be a tenant of the former and present personnel! I watched the transition of a dedicated, caring, steady, phenomenal staff, working here for many years into retirement, into an incredibly wonderful new crew, carrying on beautifully the previous legacy they were carefully chosen to carry on. With such longevity, you know they have invested themselves into this office and this complex. As such, you know we, their tenants, and this property are well taken care of. They are extremely competent! This is the type of Management that breeds success. I know because I feel it every single day. I am happy to have come across by chance this website tonight. It refreshes my mind of the things I am so used to that I take for granted thinking about such as, nice comfortable showers, being extremely well heated during the winter and being kept nice and cool in the summer. I have wonderful appliances, spacious rooms, a peaceful view out on the patio and it's nice and quiet. Inside, I can hardly hear my neighbors, it feels as though my apartment is sound proof. I have had no major issues with my unit and their upkeep is continual. Most of all I feel safe! And I know in any situation our Management office is immediately on top of things. Plus, logistically this area is ideal. I grew up here. If there is any emergency we have the Police and Fire Dept 3 minutes away. In fact, after moving away from this area for 10 yrs, I came to Continental Apts first to look for my next venue. I asked a Policeman, who was parked at the entrance to the property, about this Complex and the area. He said Continental was the best and safest out of all 3 Apt complexes. I was thrilled to know Continental still remained at the top, keeping their reputation the way its always been. When you treat each employee with dignity and respect, you get the same back. They all work very, very hard and have the best personalities. I have nothing but magnificent treatment, the same they give to each tenant. They made my health issues better and improve, just by being able to live nice and comfy in my home. I highly recommend Continental Gardens. For those who are lucky enough to come aboard, Welcome neighbor! Have a nice day!
Well maintained, more open space, very safe place to stay. Good neighbors...Very friendly office staff and response time for maintenance is very good and solved within hours. Near to all the public transport and malls. Miss staying in Continental.

Thank you for the feedback. We're glad you enjoyed living here!
I'm a native NewYorker. It is very expensive where i come from. The spaces are very small. I came for the holiday weekend to visit a friend and i absolutely love this complex. The playground and sports areas are so convenient and safe. The parking was perfect and the units are very spacious. I just had to apply and i pray i will be blessed to live here. There's just nothing like this.
Great location, close to all shops and 10 min drive to the beach. Very quick responses from maintenance. Also, affordable rent!
My apartment is all hardwood floors, spacious bedroom and closets. Nice patio area. 24 hour on call maintenance. Very quiet with friendly neighbor's.
Beautiful & affordable. Would love to have the opportunity to live here. My boyfriend and i loved the spacious rooms and nice cut grass.
When my fiance and I first moved in there were quite a few problems with the apartment. You could clearly see that the crew responsible for flipping it after the last tenant did not care. The office staff here told me that it is actually an outside company that gets the apartments ready for new tenants. There was paint splatter all over the floors, they 're-grouted' the bathroom; re-grout as in put new grout over the old, giant hole in the screen door to the back, banister rung split in half, back deck was not power washed, etc. We addressed this to the staff to which they promptly fixed some of the issues and reimbursed us for the time lost. They can't get the paint splatter off the floor because it was laminated over it. Also, we have been tirelessly working towards removing the excess grout ourselves. The price for the space that we have is AMAZING. Everyone that comes over cannot believe how big our apartment is at this cost; nearly impossible to find in New Jersey! The neighbors are wonderful. Everyone says hello. The office staff is wonderful; they are always willing to lend an ear and help you out if your having issues. Overall we have very happy here and plan on living here for some time!
The Complex is very good for the value and the prime location. Loretta in the front office was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. I will be suggesting this complex to family and friends.
