Colonial Crest Apartments

These apartments are heated and cooled by airflow, and once I switch it on my apartment smells tobacco. I inhale tobacco when I eat, I inhale tobacco when I read, I inhale tobacco when I sleep. I wake up in the night because of the smell of tobacco, I am coughing all the time, and my day is broken. I am not able to work. The management ignores me. I am slowly dying here.

I made the dumb mistake of paying rent $25 short for the last 2 months; completely my fault! Management chose to call me and alert me of my mistake in the most polite and understanding way, and they worked with me to waive the extraneous fees. I am so thankful that they were compassionate toward me and my silly error, and have had nothing but positive experiences since moving here. 10/10 would recommend.

They do not fix anything. They do not maintain their pool so don't plan for that! They had a several furnaces that almost caught fire. The melted wires told the repairman that the furnaces were dangerous. They had one of their buildings burn down! They do not care and do everything cheap as possible! There are rats and pests everywhere! They discriminate against young people because they think they can push them around. They do not provide what you sign up for! DO NOT EVER LIVE HERE!!

honestly very happy with the apartments here. They offer a lot of utilities keeping my overhead really low and the property is full of greenery and is perfect for when I walk my dogs.

All the staff are approachable, helpful and very friendly. The complex is pleasant to walk around and so far during the summer it has quiet nights.

I’ve lived at Colonial Crest for several years, and my apartment is comfortable and reasonably priced. The campus is pretty and is overall pretty quiet and calm.

I have lived at Colonial Crest for over 3 years now. The office and maintenance staff are always friendly and very responsive to the needs of their tenants. At the start of this summer my AC went out, the maintenance crew was there to fix it within 5 minutes!!! I had a fridge stop working and the same day they brought me a new one!

Great apartments, friendly neighbors in a good part of town!

I live in a 3 bedroom. Its very nice clean and quiet! The staff are very pleasant and respond quickly.

Moved into Colonial Crest 4 months ago, it is very quite and very peaceful. Colonial Crest is close to Ball State and Downtown Muncie. There are grocery store near here also. The office staff is super nice and very helpful. I would definitely recommend someone to Colonial Crest Apartments.

I've lived here since 2017, and I love it here. The grounds are beautiful, the office staff are friendly and helpful, and the buildings are a lovely midcentury colonial style, with interiors that are updated and modern. You'd be hard pressed to find an apartment with a dishwasher, central air, a balcony, and full-sized galley style kitchen anywhere else in town for this price. Close to downtown Yorktown and Muncie both, which is a plus. Overall great, I plan to stay here.

Finding rental properties in a primarily student housing area can be difficult. Colonial Crest is located just a couple miles from Ball State University and on the MiTs line. A great place for visiting faculty and staff. Having several options 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and two story condo like units gives several options to meet your needs. The availability for furnished units also gives options to graduate students who do not come to Muncie as permanent residents. Upgrades to the property are ongoing and the gazebo and pond offer a nice escape right on the property. Light fishing is allowed as well as new playground for the kiddos and a pool that should be available soon. 3,6,9, and 12 month leases are available which is rare. Colonial Crest truly can cater to a residence needs. I have been here for 4 years and there is a reason I have stayed.

I have only been here a short time but I have loved my stay at Colonial Crest. The maintenance and office staff are very friendly and helpful and the grounds are kept beautifully! It is quiet at night and a great neighborhood.

The office staff and maintenance staff are friendly and helpful. There's a pretty pond with fish and ducks. Laundry facilities are convenient. It's quiet. Never hear neighbors tv or music. I recommend Colonial Crest Apartments.

Apartment complex is located conveniently located about 5 minutes from Ball State University. The one bedroom apartments are spacious and pet friendly. Overall great place to live I am on my second year!

I Bob and Debbie Haslam, have been living at been living at Colonial Crest for the last 17 years. I have the utmost respect for management and maintenance crew. Donna is the best manager since I've known her the last 10 years!

They keep the grass at a good height. The kitchens are clean and well maintained.

I chose Colonial Crest as my first apartment, and I'm glad I did. I haven't had many complaints since I've been here and the ladies at the office are very nice. Nice spacious 1 bedrooms, and I'm glad it's pet friendly also. I would love for the pool to be up and running.

This complex offers green space with lawns, trees and a beautiful duck pond. The management is always available and works to accomplish all resident’s wishes. Presently they are working exceptionally hard to keep the complex beautiful. My apartment is exceptionally quiet and peaceful with wonderful neighbors.

They are always making sure to have the lawns mowed and trees trimmed leavening everything looking nice and well taken care of!

The move in process was effortless - the staff was attentive and allowed me to look at several units which was nice . Residents keep to themselves but are also friendly when speaking . I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place to live

I have lived here for a couple months so far, and the main reason I'd give this place 5 stars is because all of the staff is very kind and really seems to care about the residents here. The maintenance team is very effective, and their timeliness is really impressive. I have only had very minor issues with my apartment, but the maintenance team responded to all of them within about a day (which is very unusually quick). Outside of normal working hours, there is also a phone number you can call if you are having emergency maintenance issues. The office staff is very kind as well. They are available during normal working hours if you have any questions or concerns that you would like to discuss in-person or over the phone. The grounds crew also appears to be very effective. The grass is always kept at a reasonable length, and I often see them out and about working on various projects across the property. I have been very satisfied with the quality of my apartment. Let it be known, however, that I was fortunate enough to receive one of the most newly renovated apartments they have available, and I understand that there are a lot of apartments that have not been renovated yet. As such, everything in my apartment is in brand new and pristine condition, but I cannot speak for the other apartments that have not been renovated. If you are fortunate like I was, then everything will be clean, new, and very nice when you move in! Another convenience is that there are plenty of extra parking spots available if you are having a couple of guests over! If you are considering giving this place a try, I only have good things to say about it. The only thing I can think of that might be a concern for some people is the washer/dryer setup. There is only one washer/dryer for every group of 8 apartments (at least for apartments like the one I'm living in). At first, I thought that this might be a problem for me, but I actually have never had an issue with doing laundry at the same time as others, and the washer/dryer seems to work well. So, I think that this is something worth knowing, but don't anticipate it being some kind of big issue. If you are considering giving this place a call, do it! The office staff are very kind and will be happy to answer your questions and give you a tour!

It's peaceful & quiet here, being in a college town & in the city. Spacious rooms, friendly staff, nice pond/gazebo area & the grounds are neatly kept.

I’ve lived here a total of two years, and it’s been the best living experience I’ve had. What I love the most is how spacious the floor plans are. Maintenance is attentive and timely when you place a request. I also appreciate how accessible the location is to walking trails! Makes it easy to spend sometime outside before or after work.

I love living in Colonial Crest it's a very nice peaceful area. My apartment is great. It's very spacious for the price. I've here here for a few years now and has never had any type of problems. Great Landlord and I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice affordable apartment.

Close to everything, but a quiet neighborhood. Good mix of personalities. Not a place for loud parties and foolishness. Good place for kids.

I’ve lived in a couple different places in Muncie, and this place has been my favorite by a long shot. The apartment was very clean when I moved in! There’s plenty of parking available, which is always a plus. The apartments are spacious and well maintained, while still being fairly priced. The whole complex is very pretty with a pond & lots of trees!

I'm currently living there and the neighborhood is very friendly with great front desk staff.

I’ve lived here for over a year now and I haven’t ever had problems with anyone here. The ladies up at the office are super sweet and as long as you don’t give someone a reason to complain or be upset with you, they leave you alone. They’re cheaper but nicer than most places in the muncie area and I definitely do recommend them!

I have lived with my girlfriend here for some time and the affordable rent plus the convenient location has made it ideal for me to attend college. The neighborhood is quiet and the staff is kind.

We live in one of their townhouses and the space is amazing! The value for the apartments is really good for their size and quality. Office staff is always helpful when we have any issues. Highly recommend for anyone in muncie looking for nicer apartments.

I recently moved to Muncie. I had seen this place before but I can say the the people are nice, the landscape is super nice and my apartment was almost exactly what I believed I was getting. Staff are prompt and just so fun. I would recommend to a family member or friend.

Jaime is fabulous and I love that even living in town can feel like the country with the pond and mini trails. Lots of parking is always a plus, too!

Colonial crest is an amazing community to rent in. It has offered so many great things for my kids and myself. Its a very quiet and calm area. My kids enjoy the basketball court as well as feeding the ducks at the pond. We can't wait for the new playground and the pool to open up. When we applied the office staff was amazingly welcoming and made the rental process hassle free.

I walk constantly, it’s a beautiful place to walk and a very friendly neighborhood. Very friendly staff, beautiful buildings, and excellent matinence!

Colonial crest apartments is good for pet owners since the monthly pet fee is so low. Other places, pet fees are expensive or they do not allow pets at all! My dog loves staying here and we are thankful they have a big campus/grounds for us to walk him! Staff is also friendly and is able to help when needed!

Property is well maintained, pond is a big plus for me. They had so much going on in the last few months and the staff had made conscious effort for everyone living in the community. Don't have issues with my apartment,one time my faucet was leaking and within the same day I had the maintenance come fix it. They have a small team but you can tell they are working hard and consciously try and put the resident first. It's a great location, I do wish they would open the volley ball court this year

The staff here is super friendly and willing to help out. Pond is beautiful and complex is perfect for my morning run. Lots of parking too which is always nice. They have gone through so much this past month I appreciate the efforts they have done to all residents. It’s a nice quiet community.

Not a good place to rent. If you don't move in on the 1st of the month, make sure you don't pay the full rent the second month - even if they tell you to. After 5 months of promises, we found out that we will never get the prorated amount back. Also, it took 6 days of calling the maintenance number for them to fix a leak from an AC that ran down the wall and left standing water in the hallway. We had to pay for laundering towels every day to keep it from spreading across the floor. The cleaning fee is a joke, too, since we found grime and other people's stuff in kitchen cupboards and closets. Carpet and floors were dirty, too. They weren't at all concerned about window locks that didn't work either. Thank goodness we were only there for 2 months.

These apartments are super spacious for an affordable price! It’s a nice, quiet environment. I absolutely love my dishwasher, and the washer and dryer in every building is super convenient!

As a healthcare traveler, Colonial is a great place to stay short term! I’m so thankful they had a vacancy when I called them! Nice, furnished apartments if needed!

Colonial Crest has been my home for a long time and it will continue to be my home! I have great neighbors and I love the pond and feeding the ducks!
