An Oldy, but a Goody

My apartment is extremely old, like dates back at least a century old. The floors are warped and there's an antique hutch that they won't take out because it can turn into a full sized bed frame. The doors and cabinets don't close all the way because they have been painted so many times, and it never really looks "clean" because everything is so worn. But we put in hand-me-down furniture from our parents, and a few Ikea purchases of our own, and now its the cutest, homiest little place I could ask for. Was I hoping for something nicer when I fist got to Cincinnati? Of course. It's my first place that is my very own and its amazing to have a place to call your own. And sure it is hard to get by every month since I can't schedule enough minimum wage work hours because they would interfere with classes here at UC, but sometimes I drive to my parents house in Columbus and my mom lets me earn money from her by doing various odd jobs around the house. This life is not exactly a dream, but I hope hard work will pay off in the end.
