We moved into City Place after our home and entire town burned down in Altadena. We were so broken but we were welcomed here by the most loving and caring staff it’s hard to even express. They hugged us and cried with us and provided the most perfect soft place to land. We feel beyond blessed to be living here. Besides the wonderful staff here we feel like we are living in a vacation resort. The pool, jacuzzi and outdoor area is so beautiful and kept so clean all the time. The gym is amazing and we have gotten ourselves into a healthy routine of using it regularly. The entire complex is impeccably clean and maintained non-stop. We tell everyone how lucky and blessed we feel to be here after going through such a devastating loss. We love it here so much!

The location is ideal and allows us to easily walk throughout downtown Pasadena. We enjoy living in the Playhouse District with options for shopping and restaurants and great coffee houses. The residents are friendly and thoughtful.

I moved into City Place after a virtual tour with the leasing agent, and I have been really happy with my unit and the community. I was a little nervous as I had downsized from a larger home before moving here, but the unit is quite spacious and has a very smart layout. The complex is also really well constructed and feels like a condo community instead of an apartment community. It has been a great place to get to know Pasadena and the surrounding areas. My building has had recurring problems with the elevator, which can be a bummer when you live on a high floor, and the package delivery system in the lockers is not consistent which has resulted in packages lost or stolen, but that is the fault of the delivery people and not the building management. I also like the fact that the community has a broad representation of age groups, and is very pet friendly.

City Place is very comfortable, clean, beautiful resort style casual atmosphere residential living community. I have been here three weeks and enjoyed the pool, hot tub, lounge area, nice work out room and well-kept grounds. Moving in was seamless and easy. Pasadena area is vibrant, with Lake, Walnut and Colorado all a short walk away. Perfect location and so much to do and see!

Cityplace is one of the loveliest, beautifully maintained apt complexes I’ve seen in Pasadena. During my search I viewed this one first and knew it was perfect for my needs- spacious, attractive, well managed ever since I moved in about 12 years ago. I like this community and the people who live here, but most of all I like the location of the City Place. Management helped me with all the problems that I had, and their help took a minimum amount of time. I have great respect for all the employees and management of this community. They really put in as much effort as possible to make this place a delight for the tenants of this community.
I started my stay at City Place over a year ago. The beginning was a bit bumpy but over the coarse of that year I have come to love my community despite some of its quarks. Ginger has been amazing to work with. She ensures that you receive accurate information and is timely in addressing any issues. I recently moved to another building and I have to say it has been 100% better. The move in process was easy and Ginger went above and beyond to help me. With the exception of the lack of storage in the unit and the carpeted floors the apartment is perfect.

Cityplace has. A highly professional mgt and staff, for which I’ve been so grateful over the last 12 yrs in which I’ve lived here. It provides all of the amenities for a safe environment- security, underground parking and full- time staff , as well as beautifully maintained grounds, pool and lanai with cooking facilities. I find it perfect for a truly Soithern CA living in luxury experience!

The place is great and always clean and safe, but If leasing office could listen first a little more and not talk over you when politely expressing a concern or asking a question that would be very helpful. The leasing office also tends to provide somewhat passive aggressive evasive answers instead of helpful direct answers to questions. They often talk over you.

My husband and I went for a tour and decided to rent a two-bedroom apartment at City Place that they told us is going under renovation and the appliances are going to be replaced. Considering everything, we put in the application and during the process were in touch with Ginger, one of the property managers/agents. After we paid for the application, she called and told us that the she just talked to her manager and she was told that the apartment will not go under renovation. She said they decided this morning! But did not give us this information until right after we paid for the application fee. We had other options and one big reason we chose this apartment unit was the new appliances they told us about and the renovation. Now they are just sending us pictures of old "white appliances" in case it is not a deal breaker, not understanding giving us false information and putting us in this situation is itself a big reason to break the deal. Additionally we asked for refunding our application fee, and they cannot even give us straight answer and told us that they have to ask their manager to see if they can refund it. Very disappointing and unprofessional. Very bad experience. As I was typing these, my husband was talking to someone from one other option we had and we found out that we lost that option and it's no longer available. I don't know how I can express our disappointment. Dana gave us the tour at City place. Two main concerns I frankly expressed during the tour was the noise level and the appliances. She was a very pleasant individual, but I'm very disappointed at the wrong information they gave us and the situation they put us in. Please think twice when you visit this place and make sure that the information you receive is accurate. Ginger, after talking to her manager, informed us that they will refund the $45 application fee, but cannot refund $3.5 transaction fee that was added (although we used a debit card the fee was still deducted). After a few days they are still not refunding the application fee and in fact refusing to do so, now claiming they told us about the old appliances during the tour. Absolutely not. I wish they didn’t have to lie to make small money like this. The day after Ginger called me back and tried to convince me that they actually told us that this unit may undergo renovation and that if it doesn't then the price is lower, but if they renovate it the price would be higher.
