City Place at Wyndhurst

I've lived here for about a year and a half now. I've had no issues with the company or the apartment. Our hot water heater stopped working a while back and they fixed the issue very promptly. The only minor issue is that it's not very clear how to contact management. It's not impossible, but I feel like it could be easier to find all the numbers and emails you need on their website. Regardless, you can use the website to contact them about maintenance issues and I was provided a few contact emails within my move-in email, which I have since lost. That's on me. We're pretty low maintenance though, so I have had no complaints. When I contact maintenance, they respond promptly and that's the most important thing to me.

We’ve enjoyed our experience at CityPlace so far. The location is excellent and the area is walkable—-great for young families. The apartments are spacious.

When first moving in, the apartment was nice and clean inside and out. They send warning emails out whenever any kind of maintenance or cleaning outside the building is being done such as power washing. With all that it's also pretty affordable. The only thing keeping it from a perfect 5 stars is the difficulty of communication. You will always get a response, but it's hard to contact them and it does take time.

No idea what the office is doing during normal 9-5 hours but I can assure you they’re not responding to emails or answering their phones. It takes WEEKS to get a response from them and they consistently give false and misleading information. Their office is not located in Lynchburg so don’t expect to ever speak to anyone face to face. When I moved in, after I signed the lease already and viewed a show appt that I did not know was just a show, I was greeted with stained floors, scratched walls, laminate floors that were peeling up, and a fridge that half worked that was also missing shelves that I never got. Their response to all my photos: “oh we’ll get in contact with the cleaning service and get back to you”. Never once a response even after I followed up. Do NOT move here. Would give 0 stars if it was possible

Horrible communication. Would not answer questions about the future apartment until deposits were made. Unresponsive to calls across departments. Will reply to emails without answering questions. Constantly passed to different agents, lacking consistency. Was told a refund would take place 7-10 days only to change the story to 45 days. Beyond unprofessional. Avoid at all costs.

Horrible communication. Maintenance doesn’t contact you back. You have to complain twice for them to show up, and they won’t tell you when they’re coming. They’ve walked in on my husband sleeping before. If you get locked out, don’t expect them to come help you. They don’t answer phone calls, and rarely answer emails. It’s basically like they don’t even exist. Even in emergency cases, it will take days to weeks of waiting for your issue to be addressed.

Communication is horrible. Apartment reeked of cigarette smoke. Thankfully we hadn’t signed the lease. Avoid this place.
