Centric Gateway

The on-site team has been very professional (Endyia, Rahel, Jo, Nichole), and I love my apartment view. I moved from NY and being so close to the city reminds me of home. I have renewed twice and looking forward to renewing again.

I have lived at Centric Gateway for 1 year. Elijah is great! Other than that, it is bare minimum uptown living is what I will say, when compared to other apartments. The office is great, even thought the AM never responds when I email questions now. I am looking forward to moving out in the next months as I have not fully enjoyed my time here. Cleanliness - This complex is old, so keep that in mind. A couple months after moving in, I did a deep clean. I pulled out the fridge, stove and laundry and what I found was disgusting. I took photos but cannot find them, but if I do I will post. Behind the fridge the walls were were fully black with thick layers of dust. Behind the stove there was all sorts of crumbs. Behind the laundry there were large amounts of hair, dust and residue. When deep cleaning my prior apt, I never found this dirtiness, especially when I am paying $1500. It should not be my job to write on a paper that things need to be cleaned, that is your job for a paying customer. Cleanliness - Take a look at the trash chute (photo) and the dirty grill. I made it a goal never to touch that nasty floor. Allergies/Air Quality - Third, I want to add on to the recent review I have read about allergies that was posted 3 weeks ago. I agree. Ever since I moved into these apartments, I have been breaking out into hives with severe itchiness. Not sure if it's something in this air. Only posting because I saw a complaint on Google Reviews about this. Package Delivery and Fetch (HORRIBLE) - If you have Amazon Prime, say goodbye to getting things fast. Since you cannot deliver to your address, you need to send it to some random Fetch address. If you put your apt address, UPS will usually return back to their warehouse and it will be a nightmare to get it delivered again and FedEx just leaves it by the mail room and gets stolen half the time. I hated Fetch. Sad Gym - Gym is minimal, not good for weight training. No barbell rack, stairmaster, target weight machines, minimal dumbbell weights. There is only some dumbbells and a cable pulley machine. Look at our neighbors gyms, Gateway West or the Kensington. Those are way better gyms. I just pay for Crunch now. Parking - Visitor parking is horrible. There is only 4 visitor parking spots in the garage which are always taken. There is paid city street parking, but the max you can park there is 2 hours. So if someone is staying overnight or 2+ hours, they will most likely get a $25 ticket.

Leasing staff is awesome. Called to inquiry about an apartment and leasing agent Elijah was very helpful and informative.

I recently moved into Centric Gateway and even though I was stressed, the leasing team put me at ease. I worked with Shatekia and she was an abalone GEM. I can’t wait to pick up my keys. Thank you for making me feel at home during my tour.

I moved in recently and have been impressed with how welcoming and helpful the staff have been. They are quick to resolve any issues that are brought up and check in regularly to see how things can be better. The building itself is well maintained, clean and very centrally located as well.

Just moved in a few days ago - this staff has been GREAT. Teka toured me and has been phenomenal throughout this whole process. Jo moved me in and was super welcoming and kind. Whitney just started and has been nothing but professional and warm! Not to mention the property is gorgeous and I have a wonderful city view. 5 stars!

We have been with Gateway for over four years and have been very satisfied with our time here. We love the professional treatment of the staff and team. Victor with the service and maintenance team has been wonderful and always quick and efficient in our requests. You will love it here!

Centric Gateway is amazing. Not only are the amenities and look of the place feel great, but the staff also are super polite and nice when helping you. Summer and Mariana have helped me multiple times and it's been the best service i've ever received anywhere else. The most amazing and hardworking staff I’ve ever encountered at an apartment complex! Summer and team are always so flexible and willing to go the extra mile. This team does a fantastic job at informing me/others of all updates and engagements occuring in & around the complex. Their attention to detail and willingness to accomodate are what make them an amazing staff. I am truly enjoying my experiencing living here because of how awesome they all are.

My husband and I moved to Centric Gateway about 6 weeks ago. Overall, our experience has been very positive primarily because of the the staff members who have helped us transition to the building. Summer has demonstrated flexibility in accommodating our requests; Daisha is always pleasant and provides helpful information; Mari follows up on her commitments; and Warren responds promptly and effectively to resolve any apartment issues. The building is in a great uptown location with the added perks of being on the streetcar line and providing easy access to I-77. It has been encouraging to see improvements in the building since we arrived such as pressure washing the parking deck and painting the hallways. Needless to say, we are very happy here.

LOVED this community. Such a great location and spacious apartments! Jo toured me and she was amazing! Great attitude, upbeat, and positive. She answered all my questions. Summer, the manager, was also super nice and helpful! 10/10 recommend!

Rude staff, a charge that was stated “other” and was not stated in the lease agreement was used to threaten me, I paid for the amount and was still threatened. There is a mandatory fee for a package service called “Fetch” I never asked when. When I requested to not opt in “Fetch” services, I was threatened yet again. I’ve lived in identity Reno apartments in Reno and other nice apartments such as Camden in Charlotte where I never had such issues. I’m addition, the mandatory “Fetch” services lost majority of my mail. The signal is terrible in both my apartment and the community clubhouse area (where the kitchen and living area are). A maintenance member walked into my apartment without my knowledge while I was showering. The apartment also stenches of dog urine. I will be posting more evidence.

Very modern apartments. The entire staff is amazing….THE ENTIRE STAFF…they make a very pleasant stay for residents and they go above and beyond. The maintenance crew are on point but VICKTOR aka “VICK” is the best ever… he does everything with precision. He is also extremely prompt when responding and most importantly cleans up behind himself after doing a task. He is very informative with whatever he’s doing, he’ll make sure that you understand the upkeep/daily maintenance of whatever it may be. He deserves ALL what GREYSTAR has to offer! Dear GREYSTAR, he’s a REAL one so take good care of this man because he takes good care of the residents!

I regret moving in here. They tell you about how nice this place is, than when you move in its a nightmare. They require you to partake in their Valet trash service and charge you monthly for it, that's not the problem. They have given us numerous violations, because our trash bags were not tighten properly... At this point I take out my own trash because I am afraid of getting another violation. The TV's to the Pool have been broken for a year, and we were told when moving in, they would be "Fixed Soon" They gave us a lease violation because our outdoor leather couch is considered "interior furniture" when its not. Now we have to throw our couch away. We also have an outdoor mini fridge they want us to throw away. When you step outside, it reeks of poop because everyone is lazy to take their dawg on a real walk, I have gotten poop on my shoes numerous times. I have witnessed pee and poop feices inside and throughout the apartment complex, and it will take them several days to clean it up. This people try to fine you for everything. Lets not bring up that the entire complex reeks of weed. I have lived in several apartments, and have not had one this bad.

Centric Gateway is a great place to live! It's located uptown with many local restaurant's, bars, and attractions to walk to. It's fun living uptown, but what really makes this apartment community great, is the team running. From the maintenance team, to the office team and especially the Manager Paige. I highly recommend Centric Gateway!

The amenities and the location of this property are both amazing. The property is very modern and a great place to live. There customer service is also stellar. I relocated and Jennifer was very patient, answered all of my questions, and made it such a smooth transition. I am very satisfied with my choice!

I recently toured the property with Daniel and I was impressed with the property and Daniels knowledge. He’s very knowledgeable and easy going. My experience was great and I’m happy to say I’ll be moving in soon! I toured other properties but they didn’t have Daniel. I wish he could be clowned at more properties lol.

These are the most beautiful apartments I have seen I a while the layout was amazing, the staff were friendly and the amenities were perfect. Ask for Danial he is great.

Daniel was such a great customer representation. He was so knowledgeable and polite. The property was great and neighborhood is amazing. I recommend asking for Daniel.

So I have decided to relocate with my job. I am and shift manager and this location fits me perfectly. I have spoken and toured with the young man Daniel. He was very insightful and gave me really great customer service. Looking forward to relocating soon. Thanks again!!

Love this building! Jenn was extremely helpful and knowledgeable through the leasing process and the staff is very friendly. The apartments are in great condition and the pool/fitness areas are always well kept. Very pet friendly building and close to everything downtown. I highly recommend living here and will definitely be renewing my lease. This is the best building in downtown Charlotte

My sister and I have lived in Centric Gateway for about 6 months now and it is seriously awesome! The staff are all so kind, helpful, and willing to help you with any problem you have. Kendra, Jenn, and Trey as well as the maintenance crew are always proactive and easy to work with when you have an issue. I have really enjoyed the events that Centric Gateway hosts and it is a great way to meet my neighbors! I have absolutely loved living here and so excited to renew my lease in 6 months.
