Located about four miles east of Downtown Bend, the Mountain View neighborhood lives up to its name with many homes boasting sweeping views of the Cascade Mountains. Largely residential, the community presents a mix of condos and apartments available for rent along tranquil tree-lined streets. Mountain View is also home to Saint Charles Medical Center, making the neighborhood a top choice for many healthcare workers and their families.
Commercial activity in the neighborhood is centered on the Forum Shopping Center, a sprawling complex of big-box retailers, local stores, and various restaurants. Additional shopping and dining options are available just across Highway 20 from the Forum Shopping Center as well.
Residents enjoy the outdoors at the many parks in and around the neighborhood. Pine Nursery Park features sports fields, a disc golf course, and trails along the Deschutes River. The park is also a particularly great biking destination.

Thanks so much for posting your recommendation online and for letting us know that you've had a positive experience with the onsite team! All the best, Cedarwest Apartments Management Team
A lot of drug sales trafficking in apartments, Gang kids robbing cars steeling and destroying things. Owners and management do not care . People being harassed threatened windows being shot out . Not a good place to live at this time.
Currently alot of police in the complux. This isnt a place to go if you want piece and quiet. Kids running around at all houres. There is alot of drug use here to. I am trying to find houseing elsewhere.
We moved in about a year ago. Management is awesome. It's a really nice place. Most of the negative comments on here are from people who dont realize how good they have it here. Management puts up with a lot of crap. Literally. We are fortunate enough to be able to have pets in this complex and some residents think it's ok to throw their dog poop on top of the buildings. That's the "thanks" our maintenance & management get here. They provide doggie bags for YOUR convience. Be respectful and clean up after your pet! And I'm sure maintenance doesn't appreciate picking up your McDonalds garbage off the lawn every day when the garbage is 2 ft away. Bottom line This place is Great. It's the disrespectful people that need to change. The girls do a great job at managing cedar west. Thanks ladies. From people who appreciate living here.
These apartments are nice for an older building. For the most part, they are nicely maintained. The laundry room is very nice, and they have a nice little workout/gym, that you can get into after hours with a special "key". The management is easy to work with. The rent and garage increases have been pretty steep, but my apartment is large and well planned out. It's a large complex, and the building I live in tends to be pretty quiet. It is very convenient to shopping, especially nice in the winter!
We have a very small 2 br 1 bath apartment with one adult and two teenagers. One room has a water heater in the closet! No storage and we pay way too much! $80 a month for a garage because I use it for storage!
