Tucked away in the southwestern corner of Utah, Cedar City is a scenic community secluded amid the region’s inimitable natural landscape. The deserts and hills all round Cedar City provide residents with endless opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and generally exploring the great outdoors.
The city fosters a thriving Main Street district with preserved brick storefronts still operating as cafes, specialty shops, and other locally-owned businesses. Near the center of town, Southern Utah University enrolls around 8,000 students and employs hundreds of locals as faculty and staff members. Hosting a vibrant arts scene, Cedar City is the home of the Utah Shakespeare Festival, as well as an annual fest celebrating another luminary playwright, Neil Simon.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Cedar Pointe Student Housing
I will say the apartments are nice, however the management is such a pain to deal with. They are very controlling in what you can or can't bring, you are not allowed to bring anything they provide which is quite annoying, you are not allowed to have your own tv, or even appliances for whatever reason. Halfway through the semester they will do a cleaning inspection, if you fail you gotta reschedule and pay $35. That is extremely annoying, my focus is school not maintaining a mediocre apartment to impress my landlord. It is just another level of stress on top of school that isn't really justifiable unless you have an easy major.
I am giving this a ONE STAR or less rating and I will give you my reasons why. I lived in Cedar Point Apartments last 2019-20 school year Fall and Spring semesters. The apartments were new and nice, the one downfall is they do not have a kitchen table or any place to put a kitchen table, so you always had to eat sitting on the couch with your food on your lap or in your room. Although the apartment was nice the management was horrible. When I had the opportunity to talk with Elaine she was always nice but I was always treated very poorly by Nikita and she was the one I had to deal with the most. Trying to get my deposit back took weeks and several emails and phone calls to get the process rolling. Even with all of that I feel like they tried to cheat me out of my deposit that was rightfully mine. As a past tenant I would highly recommend looking for someplace else to live. It’s not worth the hassle and the poor treatment that you have to deal with by Nikita.
I’m living here right now and have absolutely loved the layout, feel, and location of the property. Although a little more pricey than most, Cedar Pointe Apartments are worth every penny!
