The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Cedar Pointe
I feel sorry for the older people who live here because in the event that they ever need a friend or family member to visit there is no and I mean no visitor parking. There is no parking for medical personell who come to care for seniors. Certainly no one could have a nice holiday dinner here. NO parking available. One space per unit and that's it. They sure didn't think it through when building this place.. At least they didn't think of the negative impact on the elderly.
My apartment is nice, and I am comfortable. The office and maintenance staff work hard to keep things nice, but they are mostly busy leasing the remaining units. Be warned that the application process is tedious and can take considerable time to process. There are no social activities yet, but hopefully that will improve soon. If you have someone living in the unit above you, it will be noisy. There is no insulation in the ceiling or floors and every noise is amplified. And since the floors are all laminated wood, unless area rugs are used throughout the upper unit, it can sometimes be unbearable.
My mother and I toured this property and she decided to put a hold on an apartment. They do not advertise that they are a low income housing tax credit property, and as such have a maximum income. When we told them she had an IRA, they said it would be no problem, assets aren't counted. Based on this, my mother went ahead and put her house up for sale and accepted an offer within days, still expecting to have a couple weeks to gradually move her into her new apartment before closing. The woman who was assigned her case continually lost and asked for paperwork that had been already provided to her, even mailed to her from my mother's bank! It took them a MONTH to get everything straightened out, and in the meantime my mother had to move all her belongings into a Uhaul and get a hotel room because of the incompetence of this woman. In the end, she was denied due to dividends from her IRA counted as income, even though they are immediately reinvested as part of her managed account and not considered income by the IRS. Now my mother is homeless, under immense stress, while we scramble to try to find another apartment for her to move into. I can not state it strongly enough to stay away from here!
I love my apartment here and pray it continues to get better. I do have one concern and hope out of courtesy to your neighbors who live below you since there is not carpet on these floors but hardwood instead, the sound really carries, so if possible please consider putting down rugs in your apartment if you live on the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th floors. I live on the bottom floor and certainly a few days for someone moving in one needs to give them patience and time, but hopefully they too will consider how it scares the little dogs like mine with loud noises and do what they can to reduce the noise. Area rugs will help and it adds to warmth too in the winter months. We all hopefully will be supportive of each other to live peacefully and comfortably in this beautiful building.
