Carlton Courtyard is in general a nice place to live. I enjoy the view from my apartment but most importantly I can appreciate UTMB, a grocery store and public transportation is nearby. This is overall convenient for me.

Carelton has the best maintenance services compared to all other neighboring locations. They are always ready to help with any issues.
First of all, I am very grateful for the quick and friendly maintenance staff, but I have felt that some of the staff in the apartment office have been unfriendly, especially treating people differently based on their appearance or race, and I think this needs to be corrected.

It's not looking good, hopefully issue will be resolved as it seems that many residents are not satisfied with staff members interactions.
I have lived here at Carelton Courtyard going on 13 years. I enjoy it a great deal and have made some dear friends here. The management is always responsive, kind, and professional. The maintenance crews are wonderful. I have never had to wait more than 1 day to have an issue resolved (unless a part was needed that had to be ordered). The pools are kept sparkling clean, the grounds crews are sent regularly, and the best part is the security, with locked and coded gates for walk-in and parking. I'm very happy to reside here. Greystar has made a great deal of improvements, and I hope they're around for a long time.

Carelton Courtyard is a safe community with locked (coded) gates and drive in gates. They keep the property clean, the maintenance staff is excellent, the management is terrific, friendly and always professional. I have lived here going on 12 years and would not think about moving to another apartment complex.

I’ve been living at Carelton Courtyard Apartments for the past 6 months, and I have to say, the maintenance team is one of the best parts about this place. Anytime I’ve had an issue, whether it's a minor repair or a bigger concern, they’ve been incredibly responsive and friendly.

Convenient as I work near to UTMB but too many pests such as roaches.
As a first time renter the leasing staff were incredibly helpful and put me at ease, especially Catalina who has made this transition a lot easier and walked me through everything step by step. She made me feel welcomed and I’m so grateful she was there to help me.

I’ve been living at Carelton Courtyard going on 12 years. There have been a lot of improvements since Greystar came into the picture. Better security, excellent maintenance, a really nice and helpful staff with a much more caring attitude. When I reflect back over the past 12 years, this is the best we residents have had it, and I sincerely hope they stay here permanently.

I Mohammad payandeh have lived here for about a year. It's one of the best places I have lived. The best thing about this place is the staff. They are courteous and very good at what they. I recommend this place to every one who is looking for a great place to live.
I do like the property location. I like the fact that most of the tenants that I have met are working for or contacted to UTMB. I do not have any problems with my neighbors it’s quiet and peaceful. I’m sure that there are other parts of the property that are not like mine. But grateful for where I am.
The apartment complex is a great place to live. The staff is very kind and prompt to address any needs that the tenants might have. Also, the maintenance staff does an excellent job of fixing things and doing so in a prompt manner. The apartment I live in is updated with new appliances, flooring and paint and is very nice for the money. The apartment complex, is well maintained and kept clean. What I really like about living at Carlton apartments is the close proximity to the beach. It's about two blocks from Stuart beach and seawall Blvd. Also, within a couple of blocks there is a grocery store, Whataburger, McDonald’s, subway, and a Walgreens pharmacy. One thing to note about the complex is its close proximity to the ferry for those who need to travel to the east side of the state or to Louisiana frequently.
I love living here at Carelton. I have been here 12 years and all of the greatest changes have come since Greystar took over this property. The office management is wonderful, the maintenance is top notch, and I hope they (Greystar) stay for a long time.

If you are looking for a clean, well organized and updated rental property; look no further than Carelton Courtyard. I moved to the area looking for a clean place that offered a 6 month lease without breaking the budget. Not only was Carelton affordable, the unit I was able to acquire was updated with new paint, flooring and appliances, which was nice. Not only has this property been ideal for me, but the staff has gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome and to ensure all of my requests have been met. I really love this property as it is two blocks from the beach and there is a Walgreens and grocery store within walking distance. I highly recommend Carelton properties for anyone in need of finding a high quality affordable rental with and amazing staff.

I have lived at Carelton Courtyard Apts for almost 12 years. Their maintenance responds promptly with any issues I may have and keep me updated as to progress. The pool is kept sparkling clean, the grounds are always maintained, the lighting around the apartments is bright enough to scare away any would-be intruders, and the security gates are in excellent working order. I would like to remain here for as long as possible, as I have made many friends and like it here a lot.

So far, I’ve only been here for for a few months, I have had overall good experiences with the staff here. I do wish more attention was paid when it comes to the trash that accumulates both in the courtyard areas as well as from residents leaving trash on their doorsteps for days. I would like it if more attention was paid to the laundry rooms (keeping them clean). I am aware that the machines are the responsibility of another company
Great place to live on the east end. Not too far from the beach, close to the hospital, and less than 5 minutes to Galveston's historic downtown strand area where you can find events and things like artwalk, bars & dining, antique shops, and much more.
I've been here 1 and 1/2 years. Yes I've had problems that's took a month to fix but I love it here. I enjoy the clean pool, walking my dog In safety with the locked gates and the positive Office staff. Check it out and tell them Carolyn B209 sent you.

Don't live here. Apartment has no AC and gets to 80 degrees. It's not even summer yet. Maintenance doesn't seem bothered to fix it. It has been broken for almost 6 months. The gate is broken. Can't get food delivered because you need a gate key to get in. There is no number pad.

We lived there for 3 months and our dishwasher did not work and maintenance is so far behind we were told that it would be repaired when they could get to it ! If you like living with broken appliances, dog poop on the sidewalks, dirty swimming pools, drug dealing in the parking lots, then, this is the place for you ! ! !

In the 2 years that I've been here I think they've changed office staff 2 or 3 times but only one of them was ever rude and had ZERO customer service skills and an obnoxiously loud mouth. Thank God she left last year....The ladies in there now are pretty great and I don't think I've ever seen anyone walk in the door that they didn't know on a first name basis. Pros: *Location is great - close to the ferry, grocery store, beach, Walgreens and UTMB *Pet Friendly *Kid Friendly *Gated *Nice and helpful staff *Weekly pest control if you want it Cons: *Typical beach bugs - it'll be difficult to find an apt complex in Galveston without some kind of pest hanging around. I've only seen maybe a dozen in my 2 years here *Parking does get a little tight when all units are full BUT they offer reserved/covered parking for a monthly fee (a little high for my wallet) *Only 2 maintenance men and there have been times it took a few days to complete my service ticket but anything important has been addressed and resolved within 24 hours at the latest, for the most part. *Crazy tanning lady blocks the sidewalk sometimes if the pool is closed *Hot water heaters located right in the middle of the back wall of the closet - they could at least set them off to one side so that space could be utilized for storage Overall, I love it here and, unless they change the management staff, I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. If they do change the management staff, I may just follow her wherever she goes.
