Property Ratings at Canyon Village Apartment Homes
things are not fixed ,many apartments broken into, cars broken into, homeless go through garbage at night, washers are broken, people don't clean up after pet ie poop every where, and managements says there's nothing they can do. seems like managements hands are tied. look elsewhere
Management makes horrible decisions that inconvenience the Community more than and longer than they have to. Security gates stay open all day to let all the homeless in, not enough parking, and if you park on the street out front, then your car will get broken in to.
I'll break my review down by category. Leasing office - they have had a few changes since we moved in but overall they are very nice. Lupe helped us when we were first moving in- she was responsive and professional. They are open 7 days a week which is awesome and they hold our packages for us when they are too big for our mailboxes. I don't have any complaints with them. Repairs - you put repair orders in online and they are fixed the same day or the next day. I've had a few repairs (water pressure, screen door, &garbage disposal) nothing major and they have always been fixed in a timely fashion. Bugs - we have had a couple spider scares -we put a work order in and they have a company that comes out on Friday that fumigates upon request. The company leaves a tag on your door explaining exactly what they used in your apartment. Grounds- They have someone 7days a week that walks around picking up anything that isn't suppose to be there. This person also takes apart all the grills and cleans them. Tenants- they are hit or miss. People are mostly to themselves which I appreciate but some people are loud, rude, and obnoxious. This is not the apartment complexes fault. Parking - everyone gets one reserved parking spot which is nice , there is a lot of spots but they get filled very quickly. I have not had any issues with vandalisim or break ins. Pool- I never used it but there are two pools and one hot tub- they always look clean and there's ample chairs lounging chairs. Laundry- there are two laundry room the machines are coin operated. The machines are OK .. That's it just okay. Utilities- I have a problem with them. First they say that they pay for gas and there is nothing in the apartment that is gas operated - I guess they say this because the grills are gas operated?? I don't know. Secondly they have us paying for Cubs on a monthly basis and also paying for Anaheim utilities I think somewhere I'm paying double for something. Apartment- I am in the birch apartment and it is a spacious layout it's 800 sq ft and the price is good. I recently moved here from Long Island,NY so really anything is better price wise than it was in New York. One thing that I really dislike about the apartment is that there is one very old AC unit in the living room. It cools down the living room/dining room but does not reach the bedroom. Wish there was one in the bedroom as well.
