The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Canyon Crest
I have communication records with this property as far back as June 18th. By June 28th I had an application submitted and had indicated intent to move in on July 24th. Throughout the month between 6/28 and 7/24 I made many attempts to contact them. Emails, phone calls, and even in person visits were only answered at their leisure. When emails were answered, they were frequently answered only in part or with completely irrelevant information. For example, an email inquiring about 3rd floor units was answered with information about 3 bedroom units. That was far from the worst interaction. On Saturday 7/22 (2 days before intended move-in) I made many many calls to them throughout the day (because they had not answered my many many emails) and an in person visit to ensure the unit would be ready for move in by Monday the 24th. No one was present in the office when I arrived (for multiple hours), despite it being during their established working hours. In the unit on 7/22, there were appliances missing, a large amount of trash strewn about, plumbing issues throughout, and doors severely warped and off their hinges. On Sunday 7/23, hoping that the property intended to somehow complete in one day all the necessary work to have the unit available by Monday 7/24, I revisited the property. No one was in the office again, and no one was in the unit working. No attempts were ever made to notify me that the unit would not be ready for move-in on the agreed upon date. I finally received an email response the morning of 7/24. Any portions of my email relating to signing of the lease or readiness of the unit were ignored in their response. In addition to the abhorrent communication, the property itself is also less than ideal. Trash piles up, there's dog waste everywhere, and it seems as though no effort is made to maintain the landscaping. Residents I spoke to also mentioned vehicle break-ins.
Currently living here. Trust me, find somewhere else. Management is non- responsive, maintenance workers dont care to fix problems only band-aid them, and the gates and elevators are always broken. I trust that wont stop them from advertising that this is a gated community. Please do youself a favor and keep looking.
I currently live here and it is not a good place to live. The management is never in the office, the entire building is always in desperate need of maintenance which is never done. The very secure gates are always broken and cars get broken into often.
This apartment complex is just OK. Nothing really that makes it stand out from the crowd. The pictures of the inside of the units are great and all, but they should show the rest of the property. Hallways are dirty, handrails are broken, pet droppings can be found around the common areas, and so on. The listed rent and actual unit don't really match up, so if you absolutely need to move into this area, do it. If not, maybe look elsewhere that doesn't charge premium rent for average housing.
The Best in Newhall, CA! These beautiful apartments are managed by the greatest staff. Unlike other apartments in the area, they have a gym, clubhouse, large courtyards, pools, spas, lounge chairs, BBQ grills, dining tables, pet friendly, gated community, tons of parking and beautiful unit layouts.
This is a very nice Apartment, out side is beautiful and it's not to far from a lot of places including Six Flags!. But there is a lot of bad things about it also. The rooms are not as big and wish there was more space in the living room and the appliances are horrible. My washer and dryer just broke! Like literally the whole thing just tore open! I think they should have done way better for a three bed room going to 1895 . And for a one bedroom 1586 ??
