Property Ratings at Canvas
Their secret little fees make me not even want to live here anymore. I pay $150 a month as a resident for parking in the garage, and recently I got a new car. Therefore, I never had an updated parking sticker or parking pass from the front desk to put on my car. I was informed that I needed a new TagMaster RFID tag to open the gate to the garage, so I purchased a new one from them for $50. However, earlier today, I received a phone call from my roommate that my car was on a tow truck and was about to be towed from the garage. I ran down there and see the tow truck driver hooking up my car. I stopped him and told him I’m a resident, and he told me to go to the leasing office. Once I went down there, they informed me that I also needed the little yellow “Canvas” sticker and that it would also be a $50 charge. Are you kidding me??? $50 for a sticker??? Unbelievable. Canvas, you really need to step up your game. I get the fee for the TagMaster as it costs Canvas money to replace it, but a little cheap yellow sticker should NOT be $50.

Hi Carson! We feel badly that you are not happy and would like to make your experience at Canvas enjoyable. Customer service is our priority and we will work diligently to ensure your happiness. Parking pass replacements are $50/pass per the fee schedule in the lease. We recommend reusing your stickers if you get a new car! These terms are also included in the move in packet. With that being said, we will work to better inform residents of these policies to avoid a situation like this in the future. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that we can make this up to you in the future!

Overall, canvas is a great place for college students to live if they want to be close to everything including campus. The location is perfect for people who don’t have a car and walk everywhere. The amenities are all so nice and the building is always clean. The only negative is the walls are super thin and it’s very easy to hear roommates through the walls.

Canvas comes with all the amenities a college student would need: a pool and a gym. The utilities work for the most part but the rent is pretty expensive, which is a deal breaker for a lot of people. Overall it’s a decent place to live.

Canvas Tempe is one of the best student living apartments in Tempe for students to choose. The building is only 2 years old and has lots of great amenities. The stay lives on site and cares about the place likewise. I have lived here for 2 years and plan on staying a 3rd! The place is clean and well maintained.

Great place to rent from; apartments have large living spaces and rooms with good privacy. Roommate selection process tends to put you with people in a similar major to yours and similar habits, so you'll usually have a good bit in common with them. The complex itself is pretty big, with lots of amenities and community events being available; definitely worth taking a tour to see whats around. It's located effectively across the street from the main campus, so you can pretty easily walk anywhere on campus in around ~15 minutes. When I was taking over someone's lease, the staff was so helpful and kept me updated at each step of the process. I have now lived here for almost 6 months and I absolutely love it. The staff also responds fast to the front office texts that they receive and they make sure we are well taken care of. Along with that, the staff does a great job at hosting events which helps residents meet people who live in the same building. If you are debating on where to live, definitely choose CANVAS!!

In my first year living here I have had a great experience with this apartment building. Everything is kept so nice clean. The staff is so nice and welcoming!! It is a great place to live as a college student because it is right on campus. Not to mention the awesome view at the gym.

I think compared to most of the other apartments in Tempe that are around the same price range this apartment is the best. Best looking rooms and overall everything seems like its newer than the other apartments. The only complaint that I have is that the wifi here sucks sometimes.

Canvas is amazing! As an ASU student, Canvas is a great option with the amount of amenities that it has to offer. The pool and gym are the best in the area. The staff is ver friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean! 10/10 would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Canvas has become my second home!! The amenities are amazing, the 7th floor clubhouse has become my favorite place to study, relaxing, and the pool is great for tanning and hanging with friends. Getting packages down stairs couldn’t be easier, and the staff is always super helpful! My room feels like home so I didn’t hesitate to renew my lease! I can’t wait to live here again next year!

Canvas is probably the most well-rounded apartment but it does have minor flaws. The windows don't keep out that much sound and the pool closes too early.

The front desk staff here is always so helpful any time you are having trouble. Whether you get locked out or can’t find a package they are always there and willing to help you. I have had few problems throughout my year of living here and every time they have fixed my problem almost immediately!

It is much better than the other student apartments and is much cleaner and has a lot of more facilities. We just had a super bowl pool party and it was crazy. The only issue i had is i was given a handicap room because of which i got a much smaller closet even though i was told i would get a walk-in one. Other than that, i think this housing is really good and very close to campus.

The apartments are new and spacious with a lot of great amenities. It is also located conveniently near ASU, making it easier to walk to classes. The management responds on time whenever there are problems, however, the problems with this apartment are the thin walls and questionable Wi-Fi.

Looks and is a gorgeous apartment complex. Staff is all college students which isn't helpful. Mail room and organization is a mess (multiple lost packages). The expenses for parking and rent are very high, like most of Tempe.

I've lived here for two years and things are much better this year! Besides the thin walls and hearing your upstairs neighbors, the staff is friendly and the grounds are well-maintained. I love the different amenities and lounges they offer! Price is comparable to those around.

I love it here. The staff is very nice and maintenance is very friendly and hard working. The common areas are typically pretty clean but sometimes the trash rooms get overfilled or a handle breaks. It is also very quiet here inside in the halls but if you live near the street it sometimes is noisy. I can hear cara and people drunk outside yelling but if that doesn’t bother you then this is a perfect place. Rooms are spacious and pretty as well. Overall great pick!

This is my first year living in Canvas and it is the best decision I could've possibly made. My sister moved in last year right when it opened and after seeing her place, I knew I would live here next. It is so modern, always clean, a great location, and has the best staff imaginable. Sign your lease ASAP, you don't want to pass up the opportunity of living here!

I love canvas apartments amenities and how open the kitchens are. I would like if the Wi-Fi was actually usable, the speeds are very slow. I wish the security to get into the gym and the pool was more strict because the gym is packed with people that don’t live here.

Canvas is a wonderful place to live! We love the modernness and new appliances. We also often utilize the pool with a beautiful view and the spray tan booth. Would recommend if you are interested in a modern place with lots of really nice outdoor spaces.

Canvas is one of the best options for student housing. The amenities and spaces in the complex are great and very welcoming. Definitely recommend signing with canvas if you are looking to be close to campus!

Canvas has great amenities and there are a lot of options for floor plans. I love the layout of canvas too and it is super close to ASU so you can walk to classes.

The best apartment complex on campus (everybody knows it too). Staff is so helpful and friendly and I rarely have issues with any appliances. Overall excellent property and the security is so comforting to have. Nothing beats the rooftop pool!

Genuinely the best apartments on campus. Sign early and it is worth it. always clean, safe, with lots of security, and easy package pick up. Have lived in a couple of building and only liked this one.
