Campus Court Apartments

Hi, I’m a current resident of campus court apartments. I’ve lived here for almost a year and it’s been nothing but a horrible experience. This building is very old and has a ton of issues. Since living here I’ve had over 20 work orders for my place. Since moving in August of 2024 I’ve had a fire from a faulty oven, very bad mice issues, handles breaking, paint chipping, water leaking from the ceiling, black mold forming in my windows, bug issues and more.There’s is a huge pest problem is this apartment. Especially mice (no matter how clean you keep your place). There’s a huge roach problem in the basement especially in the laundry room. The management is absolutely horrible. Don’t except anyone to be in the office if you need assistance. Also, don’t expect anyone to pick up the phone to answer your questions or concerns, you will get sent straight to the customer service line. I’ve never had so many issues in an apartment. Yes the area of the place is beautiful and the apartment has great charm but I would not recommend anyone living here. I can’t wait to end my lease.

Campus Courts is a landmark for me. The area has maintained the same beauty and consistency throughout the years. The buildings are clean and quiet. I will miss the security of the gate serving as an additional form of security.

Campus Courts is a great place to live! The location is convenient and the neighborhood is very friendly. The staff is very professional and always make sure everyone is comfortable.

I am the Patriate tenant here at Campus Courts since 1987. I lived at 5419 Ste. 3A for14 years and presently at 5417, Ste. 2A for 21 years. I have seen the Management Co. change 4 times. I love living here, the security, up keep and communication is top nautch. The surrounding neighborhood has remained as it did when I first move here. You feel very secured having a gated courtyard.

I love the exprience here..very professional and caring staff! Residents are top priority and that makes me feel comfortable and safe. I recommend to anyone!

I rented a studio and it was okay for the time being but not somewhere I could stay for years to come. The apartments have no sound proofing at all. You hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing. The building was well maintained though and the management team was great. I lived there for 1 year but decided to move elsewhere. I would recommend their studios for a college student or someone who is on the go often.

I have lived at 5417 S. Harper Ste. 2A for 20 Years and 12 years at 5419 Ste. #3A. I love this building and the area. This property has had four management companies over this establishment. Management has always been friendly and timely in seeing to any requests or concerns. In recent years, Danio has always taken care of any concerns that I have had regarding maintenance. He is friendly, does excellent work and is very timely. Thank you. Gregory A Lee.

The hallways always smell bad like spoiled food, the radiators are loud, and the floors creak loudly when walking around but everything else is nice. My apartment itself was clean and smelled great at move in. Management was very professional and helpful with the application process and move-in. The laundry room is always clean and I love the location being right in to the heart of Hyde Park.

I just recently moved into the Campus Court apartments and I love it! The building is older but nicely kept and the units are updated. The staff is friendly and the common areas are kept very clean. It's about .7 miles from UChicago which is very convenient to me, and within step of good shopping and good food.

I have lived in this unit for 4 years...It is a studio apartment, and i love it! Tlc Management is a very efficient, organized company who takes pride in their buildings...they always try to please their tenants!! My unit had some minor issues when i moved in, but after letting management know about them, they did their very best to fix them

Walking distance to Lake Michigan, beaches, Promontory Point, MSI, University of Chicago, grocery stores, Farmer markets and more! Restaurants, movie theater, parks, and Metra are nothing more than a hop, skip and a jump away. Its a great, safe neighborhood with lots to offer and this apartment building is clean and comfortable with great neighbors. I have been her 2 years with no plans of moving anytime soon unless I relocate out of Chicago altogether. Love it!
