Hyde Park is quite the unique town in Chicago. Although a neighborhood, I consider it a town because of the immense consumerism present with every other street filled to the brim with new places to visit and shop. Hyde Park feels vibrant and special compared to the surrounding areas of the city.

The things that I like about Hyde Park is being able to be close to the Lake. It's beautiful go there during spring, summer, and fall (not so much winter, then it gets freezing with the wind). The thing that I disliked about it was the fact that there is definitly a "bubble" that you feel safe and comfortable to be around in, but outside of the "bubble" you have to be very aware of your surroundings and make sure to stay safe.

Hyde Park is a very nice and pretty part of Chicago. There are a lot of restaurants and stores that you can walk around and visit. Overall, it's a great experience.

I love the diversity and it is my home stomping ground. The Museum of Science and Industry and the University of Chicago are located there. It is right next to Lake Michigan and gets the breeze off the lake and it has good access to downtown.
