Susanne did an excellent job of making the move-in as smooth as possible. She is very friendly, helpful, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. Moving in and signing the lease were very easy with no surprises or set backs. The complex is very comfortable and quiet. My unit was nice and clean when moving in, with plenty of living and storage space. The online resident portal is extremely useful for making payments and service requests as well. All in all I would recommend Briar Knoll.

I was recommended to Briar Knolls from a close friend who knew I was relocating to the area for work, and was ecstatic when I toured the complex and a newly renovated apartment. First of all, there is no parking fee and there are free visitor spots spaced around the lots, something I was attracted to for when I have friends visit. Snow removal is quick and painless and the office tries their best to have you move your car so the plows can get every bit of snow. The rent prices are very reasonable and the community is in a great spot - right along the Talcottville strip with easy access to just about every store, gas station, or restaurant needed. I worked closely with Susanne from the leasing department, and she was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She responded quickly to any questions I had and was very knowledgeable about the area, giving me insights such as a gym right next door and a pond in the middle of the property surrounded by trees and hiking trails. She was a great leasing consultant and didn't put any sales pressure upon our initial visit, and made sure I was 100% all set on the day I moved in. My apartment is spacious and surrounded by quiet neighbors, giving the entire complex a 'neighborhood' feel.

She answered questions as I was looking at apartments without any sales pressure and was honest when she did not know an answer. My apartment was clean and in good shape when I moved in. Susanne checked in with me on the day I moved in to be sure I had what I needed, gave me a laundry card to get started. The apartment is spacious, and I love the quiet location.

I am happy to write a review for Briar knoll as my experience has been nothing short of easy and Susanne has been amazing, patient and so pleasant to talk to!! I thought coming from a big house with a yard was going to be difficult but when I saw the 2 bedroom remodel with my own entrance I was sold! The units are spacious and clean, the grounds are clean and there are other responsible pet owners around which is really nice for my dog! I love the location-I can walk to a market, a restaurant a bar and a game room! There is a pool for the summer and laundry on site! I looked at so many places and I am happy to call Briar Knoll my new home!
I just moved here about 3 weeks ago and absolutely love it. Susanne in the office is so friendly, helpful and made our move as seamless as possible. These apartments are very pet-friendly so if that is one of your requirements, you can't go wrong here. The complex is very clean, safe and quiet without feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere. Most things you need are about 5 minutes away and Buckland Hills mall is less than 10. We opted for the "classic" model to save a bit of money, but even the "classic" is equipped with central air, dishwasher, garbage disposal and nice looking bathroom equipment. I would recommend this place a thousand times over.
We have been here for 3 years and recently there have been lots of changes. When we first got here yes itvwa good as the other reviews state but now we just want out. They take advantage of being a dog community and raise your rent so high that it is impossible to stay her. Our water went out and had to call 3 times to get someone out here because they said it was not an emergency. We would of had to wait 2 days if we didn't keep calling because it was a weekend. For the first time on 3 years we were 1 week late on our rent and they sent an eviction notice and said we had 24 hours and pay with over $100 on fees. When you try to talk to the office manager she gives nothing but attitude. This place is like an open door. We have seen so many people come and go there is almost no reason to get to know your neighbors. The newly renovated apartments look nice (ours is not new) but in the long run not worth the price they are asking. Nothing included!
We moved here when I was 32 weeks pregnant as we wanted a place where we could raise our son without worrying about safety. We love it here! The grounds are always nicely kept up, people pick up after their dogs, and when it snows, the parking lot is plowed promptly so people can get to work. They did just change companies from Equity Apartments to Navarino, but they kept on the office and maintenance staff, which is great! We've had one problem that need maintenance (a stuck window) and the guy was out to our apartment within the hour. The property is smoke-free and when we had a problem with our neighbors smoking, we contacted the office and they took care of it quickly. The laundry facilities are always clean and I've never had a problem with waiting for a washer or dryer to open up. The only annoying thing is that you pay for the laundry with a card that can only be loaded in the pool house. I wish there was a way to load it from your computer. Unfortunately we will be moving away when our lease is up as the units do not contain washer/dryer hookups and we have a LOT of laundry with a baby, but we would stay if we could! The two things that would make this property perfect are: 1. Washer/dryer hookups 2. Ability to load the MacGray card from your computer
Our complex is in a great location and is very well taken care of. The grounds always look nice and are kept clean. We have never had any issues while living in our current apartment.
I lived here for two years and the apartments are very cozy with a great neighborhood feeling. Located in a very safe neighborhood. There were never any incidents with any neighbors and management was always friendly and kept its tenants well informed. There is laundry on site as well as a pool for summer months and there is also a private tranquil pond surrounded by woodlands in the back of the property you can take walks on and hike off trail on. I enjoyed doing that many times well I lived there. Also there are two gas stations basically right next door, and across the street is a gym. Very close to Manchester and the I-84 interstate. All around great place to live and I would live there again if my roommate and I decide on living a little further north than Hartford. Pet Friendly which is a huge plus!!!!
Briar Knoll has been super accommodating to all of my needs. I was searching for an apartment complex close to Hartford where I work. My girlfriend and I only needed the apartment for 4 months as I am going to be relocating out of state. I called 15-20 apartments and they all charged a significant amount more for a short term lease. Also, it was tough to find an apartment complex that was pet friendly and didn't have restrictions on breed, weight, etc. The complex is very reasonably priced and the unit that we moved into had just been recently renovated and was in great condition with all new carpeting, new appliances, etc. The complex is near some great running trails, has a pool and laundry facility on site, all of which are easy to access. I have already recommended Briar Knoll to other friends that are currently apartment searching. Also, everything is near by.. restaurants, bars, grocery stores, pharmacies, pet stores, highway..
