Boonsboro Village Apartments

Horrible. Maintenance people keep quitting from being overworked. The last one left put in his 2 weeks notice. I was promised 18 months ago that the missing railing on the stairways (plural) would be replaced. Kept getting one excuse after another. Bats are still a problem! My neighbor’s balcony door is so warped bugs fly in with ease. She’s been ignored. She ended up stuffing the holes with paper towels to keep bugs out. The hall lights are so covered with filth you can’t tell if the bulb works. One tenant fell on icy steps - their one maintenance worker hadn’t gotten to her building with the salt yet. The common areas smell musty, with some sort of scent present to try to mask it. My washing machine hasn’t worked in weeks; they keep promising ‘soon’. They often turn off the complex water all day - still trying to find a huge leak. 4/5 times we were notified first. Noise travels as if walls are absent- both from above and side to side. Only good things - the neighbors are nice, the location is convenient and the walking path goes through a nice wooded area.

I lived here for more than a year and for 9 months I have been dealing with bats. Too many sleepless nights. Location is perfect. Apartments are not too bad but the bats inside the wall will make your life miserable.

I'll start with the pros... Wonderful neighborhood, easy access to everything in Lynchburg.. It ends there.. The apartments are old and dirty. We moved in and the counter was covered with "cut marks" from a knife and stained. We rented a steam cleaner to clean the carpets, it is nasty and dirty. Makes you want to put carpets on top of the carpets so your kids don't have to touch it. We are really disappointed with how much you can hear from the people above us. You can hardly sleep. This depends on where you are, but it seems to me that they just need to do some renovating. The hallways stink. You can't open the door without gagging the way to your lock and get into your apartment.

One of the worst apartment experiences I've ever had. We live on the 2nd floor, and the creaking from the floor above the bedrooms is so loud that we can't sleep when the neighbors are up. My roommate and I have had to sleep on a couch/air mattress in the living room for months. To top it all off, there is a $300 fee to switch units, so you get tricked into signing a lease for a place where you can't even sleep on your own terms. We really like our neighbors and the office/maintenance staff, but this apartment was a huge disappointment.

This is a relaxing, quiet complex all while being in the heart of one of the most desired areas in the city. Management is pleasant and responsive, and the area is always clean. Just a walk away from shopping, eating, and....wait for it......Starbucks! You can't get any better than that. The nature trail gives you a country feel right in the city, and the gazebo/picnic area is perfect for chillin and grillin! Boonsboro Village is such an easy place to call home.

Boonsboro Village apartments is located in a lovely area of Lynchburg, VA conveniently located within walking distance of a Starbucks. The property I live in has professional and friendly management staff that respond to tenant concerns promptly. I love my 2 bedroom 1.5 half bath apartment. It's affordable for my fixed income and very spacious. I have a washer and dryer in my apartment and I love that this complex is one of few in the community with a pool! I've lived here 2 years and am overall very satisfied with this residence.

We have a 3 bedroom townhouse which we got at a lower price than they advertise because we first come for a 2 bedroom apt but when we arrived to move in, our apartment wasn't ready according to management. They offered us a 3 bedroom townhome for the same price. That was 3 years ago. Each year, our rent goes up but it not by too much. The pool is nice and they are trying to make the public area nicer. I do not care for the management as they are noisy and do bi-annual walk through and don't give us any warning when maint. comes in to fix something or replace the filters (for 3 months). I would like to say when they can come in, on my schedule when I'm at home, not whenever they want to. They don't offer flexibility.
