We absolutely love this place. We moved here during the middle of the pandemic in 2020 and I literally cried tears of joy when we pulled our car into the garage with the last of our moving stuff. We have a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment that is absolutely huge and full of light. The windows are enormous and we have a tree right outside both bedrooms that I'm obsessed with (probably lived in Brooklyn too long?). Especially during the pandemic we wanted a place that would feel spacious and not give us cabin fever... and this place is perfect. It's also walking distance from the main street in town (shops, restaurants, whole foods), and walking distance to the botanical gardens, multiple parks, and the reservation. Perfect location. Laura and John have helped us out in so many situations, going above and beyond what they needed to do for us. I highly highly recommend this building, it's been an amazing home for us.
Great building right in the heart of Montclair, near train, restaurants, shops, etc. Building and grounds are extremely well kept, staff is accommodating, and the place already feels like home.
The Bellclair apartments are set in the heart of downtown Montclair. It is conveniently located near the bus, but it’s about a 20 minute walk to the train station. The apartments are about 13 years old and are fairly modern, although the management should have used stainless steel appliances instead of all white. Everything is white, including the bathroom wall and floor tiles, so it’s up to you to add your own flavor to the apartments. They are very well managed. Whenever I’ve had a problem, it is immediately fixed, whether it’s replacing an appliance or fixing the faucet. The only other issue is that you have to go all the way outside to take your trash out. Most other apartment buildings have garbage chutes. For some people it’s a half a block to dump their trash. Overall, it’s been a great place to call home.
