Property Ratings at Belair Park
It looks great from the outside. Inside it is infested with roaches and mice. The super is not certified to do any maintenance tasks. The super starts landscaping work at 4am while tenants on lower levels are sleeping. The elevator on the A - J side breaks once a month and there are seniors that have to walk up and down 6 floors. The price charged is not worth it.
My apartment is probably one of the few apartments in Jamaica Queens, that kept its true size and style. I live in a spacious 1 bedroom apartment with a living room the size of my old studio apartment. It is also hard to find places with an eat in kitchen with plenty of cabinet space. The bedroom itself is also roomy where I was able to fit a chest, dresser, nightstand and a king size platform bed and still have room for a 7x9 area rug on the side of the bed. The bathroom is pretty normal and I have 4 closets in total. Overall, this is a great size apartment but the only thing that stings the most is how steep the rent is at compared to the other buildings. There's always a catch 22.... I still love it though!
Very good location for a couple who wants to hit the city on the weekends but doesn't want to spend their money in small apartments. Excellent location close to subways, restaurants, courts, buses, etc. Apartment size is great, very clean and good amenities. Laundry room could be better but compared to other locations in the area - is a 7/10. Maintenance is done quickly when you call them. The management agency is very friendly and works with you on the rent, lease agreement, etc. Some of the neighbors in our building are not the best (only 1 or 2 come to mind), the other keep to themselves and do not worry about you.
