The large house as been split into three apartments, and completely restored to it's original glory. All of the original features of the house have been preserved, including the picture rails, douglas fir flooring, doors, windows, and claw foot bathtub. All of the windows were restored by a professional carpenter, and open and close perfectly. The original period light fixtures have been rewired and placed back in service, ready to glow for another century. The kitchen has been completely renovated utilizing vintage metal cabinets and custom wood shelves topped with marmoleum. Please note- the vintage fridge in the photos has been replaced with a modern version. The original glass paneled french doors separate the kitchen from the living area. This house is located in Barrio Santa Rosa, a wonderful historic neighborhood in the downtown area of Tucson. It is directly across the street from the Five Points Market, and next door to the St Vincent de Paul Thrift Store. You are within walking distance to all of the great restaurants and clubs downtown, plus biking distance from the University of Arizona. There's even a ToGo bike share dock directly across the street. Public transportation is also just steps away, so no need for a car. We do have plenty of street parking, however! The apartment has a new air conditioner. It also utilizes an electric tankless water heater to keep utility costs low Available June 5th. Studio, One bath, large eat-in kitchen, open front porch, 500 square feet, small fenced yard, shared (free) washer and dryer. The dryer does run off of the electric panel for this apartment, so the bill is usually $10-15 higher than normal, which is already figured into the rent price. $825 due at lease signing. This includes a $250 non-refundable leasing/admin fee, a $375 refundable security deposit, and a $200 non-refundable cleaning fee. We do charge a $40 per person application fee, and all tenants must pass a credit, eviction, and criminal background check. Well behaved pets are welcome. We do charge an additional $200 per pet refundable security deposit. Tenant pays electric, and each apartment is separately metered. The entire house has been re-wired, and a 200 amp panel feeds each apartment. In addition, there is a $30 monthly charge for water/sewer/trash. Equal Housing Opportunity, of course!!
