Just a few miles southwest of Denver, Sheridan is a great location for people interested in winter sports. Sheridan, Colorado is a small suburb with great chain restaurants, public schools, movie theater, skate parks, and public parks. River Point at Sheridan is the premiere shopping spot with an expansive outdoor location and a wide variety of restaurants and stores.
The largest parks within the area are Sheridan Community Park and Alice Terry Park, but there are other smaller spots spread throughout town. Side-by-side with the South Platte River, residents of Sheridan enjoy running, hiking, and biking on the eight-mile Mary Carter Greenway Trail. The Bear Creek Trail, spanning 14.5 miles, intersects with the Mary Carter Greenway and is another popular hiking location. The Broken Tee Golf Course is a big attraction to the area and takes up a decent amount of land in Sheridan.

This place is a joke. Management is never there or does not want to deal with any grievances. The property looks very trashy and there is a sewer smell that permeates the property.

Our community was built in 2009, and while the property is still relatively new, we are working diligently to address any deficiencies as they arise to ensure a positive living experience for all residents. We do want to clarify that our office is open seven days a week, and our team is always available to assist with resident concerns. Regarding your mention of odor, this is actually due to the nearby Platte River and is not related to the apartment community itself. We also take pride in keeping the property well maintained and will continue working hard to provide a clean, welcoming environment for all residents. Thank you again for your feedback and for being part of our community.
Been living here for a couple of years and I’m sad to say current management has made it a horrible experience. Do not expect maintenance to take care of anything for atleast a month. Do not expect clear communication with management, they are very dismissive. Appliances are old. Halls are dirty and not well maintained. Also it’s really bad in the winter because they never clear out the snow. Save yourself the trouble, live somewhere else.

Avana on the Platte is proving to be a pleasant place to live in Denver. The sales staff is accommodating and helpful, the complex is well insulated so you don't hear your neighbors, the amenities are great and the price and space of each apartment is the best I've found in the area.

We've only lived here for a couple of weeks; but so far, we're very impressed. Parking is definitely limited, and there are no elevatorsthese are important things to note. But the staff are super sweet, and the apartment is extremely nice. The mountain-view patio is an absolute win. The amenities are surprisingly nice. At the end of the day, I never thought I'd give a rave review of an apartment complex, but it feels like home. And what more can you ask for?

The staff has always been courteous and professional. I've been here twelve years and I love the layout and price of my apartment. I however am not pleased with security efforts and daily upkeep of the grounds. We have more people that seem to litter and sometimes the trash will stay in the same place for days or is just blown to a different spot. I have seen some improvements recently, but not to where it was.

Good value for the money, but the complex isnt maintained to the best of its ability, and certain buildings lack parking availability around them inside the gates. The gates break all the time, making the community not gated anymore. Easyish access restaurants, a movie theater, grocery stores, and a light rail station. No real bike storage onsite. Maintenance staff is subpar and management is so-so.

Overall this is a good place to live. The grounds are kept clean. Service requests are responded to immediately. I feel there limitations placed on appliances for example that when no longer provide good service the is hesitation to replace. It is quiet for the most part. I have a covered place to park my car that is relatively close to my apartment.

I've lived here at avana on the Platte since it opened and i've seen many companies come and go running this place. I must say the formula is just right now, with Charly and her group of workers bent on satisfaction of the community. and they deliver! Maintenance has always been great here and continues to be.

4/5 Stars Apartments are fantastic; spacious, great amenities, and everything feels functional. Proximity to shopping center is fantastic. My only issue comes from my inability to have seen the complex before moving (cross-country); I was unaware of the surrounding more industrial area. As a pet owner I look for the ability to walk off the complex to nearby parks and trails.

Great place to live! I have been here for 10 months and have loved it! The layouts are awesome, the location is super convenient and everyone is really nice. Pretty good location, not a bad drive to work. Staff is helpful. I would warn people about parking... though there seems to be plenty of it around other buildings. You can also hear your neighbors too much. My upstairs neighbors are so loud it's ridiculous. I can hear them stomping around all day and night, and they either have elephant aerobics up there or manufacture bowling balls that they just let drop on the floor. I've been trying to imagine what those insane noises are and that's all I've been able to come up with. I guess that's not a great review, but there are always issues living in apartments. It's a bit too industrial around here as well.

When we first moved here, the maintenance of the exterior places were very good to excellent. Then the next company took over responsibility and the cleanliness became horrid. The hallways look like the Munsters lived here. When the new company took over, they sent maintenance over to clean the walls of the cobwebs but they left the debris from their cleaning all over the stairs and the landings. We haven't had and follow-up cleaning since then. We hope to stay here for at least another 5 years and would like to see the quality of the exterior maintenance improve to previously good to excellent standings.

I've live at Avana on the Platte for over 4 years. It's been great. Staff is great and friendly. The grounds and amenities are good. Overall, I've really enjoyed living here.
