The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Avalon White Plains
After 4 years, I'm sad to be leaving the Avalon. Sandra is the most attentive community manager I've dealt with and has a fantastic team. She cares about the well being of the residence and I always felt she was looking out for our well being. Wendy in leasing is a true all-star. I remember at the time of my second lease, I was traveling a lot, and I was in a real rush. Wendy had the paperwork organized and broke down in 1 minute what would have taken me 20 minutes to weed through. The maintenance staff here is truly amazing. I discovered some small damage to the floor caused by a leaking air conditioner that must have happened in the summer. It was the day before my move out, and Billy handled it as if I had just moved in. Explained the problem to me, assured me it wasn't my fault, and gave me his assurance it was all right. Anthony is also truly a maintenance all-star, if he can't fix it. Then it can't be fixed. Danny really has an amazing team, and runs a tight ship. The only real issue I had was a broken dryer, and I had a new one within hours, still enough time to finish the load I had put in without needing to re-wash. The concierge staff here is also second to none. Jennifer is great, well organized and always has the right answers, and Richard is always filled with warm welcomes and is great with kids. Hughes is also one of my favorites, keeps things running smooth and always has a warm smile. I can't talk enough about the staff here at the Avalon. There are many names Im missing here, but rest assured you are in good hands when moving in here.
The apartment is awful. They raise your rent for more than 10% on your first renewal and advertise your apartment with lower price to attract new tenants to kick you out. When you talk to the leasing office the staff just said "Look! This is business." The guy named Chris is the worst among them. He was just the company's puppet and gives zero stretch to the rules. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you are very rich.
If you are moving to this location and expect a smoke free environment, think again. This place markets itself as smoke free, even posts signs on the building that says it is "100% smoke free" but has no ability to actually enforce it. False advertising at its finest. Do not buy into the lies they tell
I have been living in Avalon White Plains for over 7 months now and from the moment i have moved in, i have felt very much at home. The management team along with their crew have been very approachable and responsive to every requests. Appreciable use of technology for raising, resolving and closing maintenance requests and needless to say more - ease of paying the rent. The facilities available at the apartment complex is top class and the location gets a 5 star - its just a short walk from WP downtown and the transcenter. I am happy with my choice to make Avalon White Plains my home!.
