Property Ratings at Aster at the Summit
have lived in Aster for 2 years, and while the apartment layouts are decent and offer plenty of storage, the overall experience has been extremely disappointing due to serious construction and management flaws. The construction quality is poor—you can clearly hear every step from the apartment above, and the insulation is so inadequate that heating, cooling, and water bills end up being much higher than expected ($$$$). The amenities that were advertised are essentially non-functional. The gym, clubhouse, and grills are either broken or unusable, so there is no real value in these “features.” Parking is another major problem; there simply aren’t enough spots for residents, and non-residents regularly occupy the open surface lots, leaving legitimate tenants scrambling for space. Security and management are also major concerns. Packages are frequently stolen—not by outsiders, but by other residents. Personally, I’ve lost an iPad and a Food Processor due to this issue. When these problems are reported, management shows little to no concern or follow-up. The management team is unprofessional, with competent staff members continuously leaving, leaving the remaining team even less effective. In short, Aster is overpriced for what it offers. The combination of poor construction, non-functional amenities, inadequate parking, theft issues, and unresponsive management makes it a frustrating and costly place to live. I would strongly advise anyone considering this apartment to look elsewhere. You can find options nearby that are cheaper, better managed, and actually provide functional amenities.
