Property Ratings at Ascent Uptown
In the beginning it was nice when I first moved in but so much has changed including the guess parking where our guess now has to pay days just to visit. The pool is always cold and the water system is not the best. The water is sometimes brown that comes out the faucet. The staff can also be more genuine. They appear friendly when they are giving you a tour but once you sign that lease you see that they are not so friendly.

With the water system, discoloration can happen in any type of home if a faucet has not been used for a while and running it briefly will usually clear it. Guest parking was updated recently to create a fair system and ensure availability for all residents. We understand changes can be frustrating, and we appreciate your patience. I've lived at Ascent for about 6 months now. This is the first apartment I've lived in over a decade. The property is well maintained, and the staff is friendly. The views are great as well. I feel safe living here.

Ascent is such a great apartment complex conveniently located next to many restaurants and vendors in uptown Charlotte. The leasing agents are amazing and help out so much when needed. The property is clean and always up to standards. Love living here already!

I don’t leave reviews typically but I give credit where credit is due! I walked upstairs and was warmly greeted by Kevin and Ashley. Kevin provided a wonderful tour. Even the hallways in this building smell great lol. This place is top notch. I noticed they had concierge, roof-top pool, this place has it all right in the middle of downtown.

Recently new to Charlotte and was looking for a new place to live. I wanted to stay in Uptown or South End. Ultimately decided on Ascent. Right in the middle of everything and the apartment has the best views! Looking forward to moving in! Shoutout to Kevin who works in the leasing office. If you tour him, you must ask for him! I have to say, living at Ascent has been an amazing experience. It has literally checked every box when it comes to a comfortable and luxurious lifestyle. Right in the heart of uptown Charlotte, everything is just a short walk away. Whether it’s fine dining, entertainment or just grabbing drinks with friends, its prime location can’t be beat. All of the amenities are top notch including a beautiful penthouse lounge, rooftop pool, and state of the art fitness center. I couldn’t be happier with my choice to call this place home. I’ve never experienced any issues during my time here but I know the team here is always willing to go above and beyond. Especially Marissa, she is the BEST. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic place to live in the beautiful Queen City!

Ascent Uptown is the best apartment building in Uptown. Don’t sleep on this place! The location is a 10/10. Ashley, Kevin, Marissa and Anna in the leasing office are the absolute best. This is easily the most absurd lease I have ever signed. The clauses range from the petty, e.g. no nail holes, to outright insidious. There’s an arbitration clause and you cannot terminate your lease for any reason. There are many other luxury apartment buildings around Uptown. Almost all of them would be a better choice than Ascent Uptown.

Ascent is in a great location, and the apartments are beautiful. It's a fair price as well. A couple of downfalls are frequent long elevator wait times and insufficient guest parking. Management does their best to resolve issues as they arise.

Ascent Uptown is a gem within the Queen City. Being new to the Charlotte area it is a wonderful location to be near the Knights Stadium, Bank of America, and other restaurants and night life. The apartments and amenities truly make you feel as you are living like royalty.

I can’t talk enough about how amazing the entire process and experience has been at Ascent! The level of professionalism and cars is truly unbeatable! I checked out a few apartments in the area and there was always something lacking. The biggest thing that I noticed right away was the professionalism of the staff; Bryce was hands down the most amazing person I’ve ever dealt with in my years of renting in Charlotte as a whole. He was knowledgeable, courteous, kind, professional, and sooo helpful. I checked out competing apartments but they do not compare with Ascent. The apartments are beautiful!! The layout of my place is so well thought out. Never have issues with mail or packages, no parking issues, no noise complaints; literally cannot hear my neighbors, clean, and again process with staff and timeliness in how the respond to requests are so on point! I came in intimidated by everything I heard about rent prices here but honestly once you see what you’re getting it’s so well worth it.

Ascent is by far the best building i looked at in Charlotte. I lived in a high rise in Miami - and this even surpassed that building. Bryce is so great and everyone is friendly and helpful. Very clean and organized. Love it.

Floor ceiling windows, balconies with clear views thru glass rail systems. White walls and kitchens with polished fittings and wide plank flooring, all genuinely enjoyed day and night. Modernity unmatched in Charlotte.

A high standard at living at Ascent. The amenities are fantastic. The building is kept very clean. The maintenance team respond quickly and efficiently. There is a great mix of people living here and everyone is very friendly! Highly recommend it as a place to live!

The building has nice amenities and a good location if you want to be uptown, but that is about it. Parking is awful, they most recently closed all amenities at 11pm because people are throwing parties and causing damage, and you are able to hear everything from your neighbors. Only rent here if you are not home often and like to waste your money. Working from home here has been the worst experience of my life and a cause of constant frustration.
I highly recommend living at Ascent Uptown! The location is incredible, the community is great, the amenities are amazing. Definitely live here.

The concierge staff is wonderful, valet parking is not great since the change of companies, cleanliness of facility is good but some considerations from maintenance when cleaning the building and not holding both elevators would be appreciated.

One of the best decisions I have made in life to move to Ascent Uptown. Leasing office staff was great with everything. Moving in was pretty awesome and over all living experience is the best! One of the best places to live uptown.

If you want to be charged unexpected/hidden fees at random times, this is your place. After living here for 6 months, new management decided to start charging current residents for amenities that were once free. Valet parking is almost nonexistent, expect to pay for parking and bike storage will also cost you too. There won't be any notification about it either! You just wake up to more charges when rent is due. In the last two months they have attempted to increase our rent an additional $120 for NEW fees. If this was during the lease renewal, no problem, but it's not. In all my years of renting, I have never had management start charging for the amenities that "come with the living"in the building. You will receive emails about super-bowl parties, painting the parking deck, food trucks or maintenance, but you WILL NOT be notified of any new fees. People let their pets use the 32 floor as a bathroom, so it smells terrible. The carpet outside our apartment door smelled like animal urine for several days. The elevator and lobby has animal urine in it sometimes or frequently smells like marijuana. (Marijuana smoking is a problem here!) Random people who don't live here are always on the 32-33 floor in the summer and your car can be booted at any given moment. Also, there is a $200 fee if parking passes are lost. Good luck if you decide to live here.
