When there is a problem, for example, my tub peeling paint or my heat/AC isn't working, management and maintenance are quick to fix it
The maintenance depth is amazing. They're kind, hard working and listen to my concerns. The office staff and management has really stepped up in cleaning the complex up. There was a serious parking problem for a long time. The office staff put their foot down and got rid of the cars that were not running, stolen, abandoned, and didn't belong to residents. I appreciate it very much. The complex doesn't look run down anymore.
Everything else is very good am happy here I love it very quite for me. Only thing that gets me is the kids running down the stairs every mourning and night I think that is unfair to the tenant here. Something should be done.Parents are not talking to the kids about that.

The apartments are really cute and quiet for the most part. Parking is horrible because residents have more than one car in parking lots and some cars camp out for days in the parking spaces. Have asked for a private parking that l paid for and never got the private parking.
First off, pest control services: property manager gives you two days notice that everything will have to be removed from the kitchen counters, cabinets and bathroom counters and cabinets (usually takes about 3-4 hours to remove and replace). Treatments are done during the week usually around 11am and pets/humans must evacuate for 4 hours (really sucks if you work full time). This is usually only once a year but if you have messy neighbors and have bugs in your unit you may have to do this weekly. Also, don't expect them to tell you if your unit no longer needs treatment, you either have to be a mind reader or make sure to call them before any planned treatments. I also once had the property manager straight up lie to me and tell me my unit was treated when it was not, they came back the next month to do it "again" and pretended like they just wanted to do an additional treatment. You will be fined $250 if you don't have everything prepped beforehand. This is by far the most invasive pest control treatments I've ever been subjected to. Second, lawn fertilizer: when this was treated in the spring, there was absolutely no notice given so I was out walking my dog when I noticed there were chemicals being sprayed out on the lawn (luckily, he was okay). They were still in process of spreading the pellets so there were NO signs up. It smelled like chemicals all day, since there was no notice given one of my neighbors had a kids birthday party planned with a bouncy house so there were also young kids (5-7) all over the grass the same day it was treated. In general, management does not treat these units as if they are people's homes, only as a commodity for them to squeeze more money out of you. Every time they need to enter your unit, expect only a day or two notice (not sure how they expect this to work with vacations), along with a passive aggressive clause reminding you that they have permission to do so per the lease agreement. My car was also vandalized here twice and when I asked about cameras management never responded. If you do have to live here, buy a dash cam that has a parking mode. The "resort" style pool was also disgusting the whole time it was open (green water, hair and debris visible everywhere), and the one time we tried to use the poolside grill it wasn't working properly and flames started shooting out of the control knobs so we had to call the fire department. Seriously, avoid this place at all costs.
Only move here if you have great patience for getting things done. They will kick you out faster then they will get your maintenance done warning you early.

Just like with branding anywhere there will be a few minor hiccups but the entire assent team have gone above and beyond to make sure that anything we needed or requested it was promptly and efficiently taken care of. They go above and beyond to make you comfortable and to make you feel welcome I truly appreciate these guys.

I like living here like I said me and my family from New York we didn't have a lot of apartment complexes there cuz we live upstate New York. But I like living here it's really nice the parking situation could be better. And we need to get a playground back for the kids. They took the playground out and it said it was going to replace it they never replace the na raised our rent by $500 so that money could go to a park for the kids. We really need that because my kids want to play outside and it's me and my wife work a lot of hours so it's just hard for us to take them out to the park and we have space here let's get it done

No parking for guests without paying and giving a LOT of info. Never answer their phone and blame it on bad phone lines, imagine never being able to get a hold of your leasing office by phone for something urgent. They have pest issues because they constantly have companies coming and treating units. Don’t rent here if you have other options, it looks nice but it’s not worth the hassle and the stress they’ve given us.

I’ve lived here for 3 months and I’ve already had to have them treat for ROACHES TWICE. This second time has been the absolute worst. I first reached out on a Thursday about my issue and they wouldn’t schedule something until the following Tuesday. I spoke with someone at the office the following day after seeing even more roaches and was told they could have treated that Friday but I was never scheduled. Obviously they lack a sense of urgency. Very poor communication from the leasing office especially from Laura. Day 1 she reached out at close of business (I was scheduled for treatment at 11am) to tell me they couldn’t treat while I had been off all day and could have stopped by to take care of anything left out. Day 2 they never even called me to tell me they didn’t treat AGAIN. When I was told that they have tried to communicate with me as much as possible but never actually reached out to me. At one point I was even told that they had called around to my neighbors to see if anyone had seen roaches. TWO of my neighbors said yes and never reported them. On top of just this the building are always littered with trash. There is constant police activity. Non existent parking enforcement. Over all 0/10 would never recommend. At this point with just the roaches alone I should be able to break my lease with no penalty after spending the weekend in a hotel and still no communication about treatment.

A lot of negative points to be mentioned in this short space, the apartment was beyond my worst expectations,, very damaged and the balcony was very dirty that I even found a pet poop in the floor of the balcony!! Ive been smelling a weird smell a mixture of weed and other bad smells inside my apartment coming form some neighbors, the smell is very strong that we had to keep our windows open day and night and it still wont help clearing the air, the maintenance team added some refreshing solution into my A/C but unfortunately it wasnt enough, and after only 2 days the smell coming from one of the attached apartments is still coming inside and make us all feel disgusted!!

Overall unsatisfactory. My son's vehicle was towed and effectively stolen within my first month here due to the apartment staff not effectively communicating the parking structure, and refusing to issue me an additional parking permit. Also as previously mentioned, I have had mice and cockroaches in my unit in the time that I've been here.

Do Not Move in this apartment Unless you want to be charged of $1,000 dollars after you move out with no reasons. When I move out I don't even sign the move out agreement, and I didn't get any final statement from the Apartment. However, I got the phone called from the Debt Collection Company and ask me to pay almost $1,000 immediately, otherwise they will report it to the credit bureau. I paid it just in case. However, I went to the apartment, the manager told me that he will solve this problem for me and I got the final statement from he that shows the $0 balance. I did not own any money!!!! It has been three month until now, they still don't want to solve this problem for me, so I want to write this experience for the future potential residents!!! THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE!!! DO NOT RECOMMENDED!!

I moved across country so I did not get a chance to check it out. Let me just say I was deeply disappointed. I had a job to start and a uhaul on my car and when I saw my unit, I freaked out. There were bugs in the kitchen light. Paint on the hard wood floor laminate all over. The carpet. Sweet mother of pearl... it was still wet and the master bedroom had gum stuck to it. No door stops so there was holes in the wall. My patio had a large rotten piece of wood on it. Nice. The venetian blinds were a joke. Every time you opened a window, a panel would come off. But my favorite was the blinds in the first bedroom. They were about 2 inches too short and you could see right in. The window would not close completely. I can't even begin to tell you how many request we had to fix it. But I can tell you that the we were told when they finally came to fix it that the building had settled and the frame for the window did not fit. So, it was not fixed. My roommate was freaked out since we were on the bottom floor so it was not safe. Not to mention right across the street is income based apartments which had a lot of traffic. Kids and trash every where.

I have lived here 3 months and still too many issues to list - dryer not connected yet, water backs up before every shower or sink use. The pool just opened a week before school back in. They paved the parking lots and still flood with every rain and Dailey watering! Maybe they were trying to relocate the RATS that live in the bushes along each unit? Big healthy RATS!!!!! Trash doesn't get picked up but you will be charged. Don't move here

The Ascent apartments (formerly known as Churchill Downs) are quite affordable for Denver, and are very nice in the remodeled units. The breezeways and lawn are usually littered with food and other trash from the many many young children who roam freely and scream loudly outside all hours of the day until after 10 pm at night. Management is great! Pool is almost never open due to issues caused by other renters.
