Cottage Grove is located about 10 miles east of Downtown Madison and has easy access to I-94, I-90, and US-12 for commuters. The town is home to one of the state's best bicycle trails, the Glacial Drumlin State Trail. This impressive trail extends 52 miles, from Cottage Grove to the Fox River Sanctuary in Waukesha. Cottage Grove is also home to two championship golf courses, the Oaks and Door Creek Golf Course.
Living in Cottage Grove, residents enjoy beautiful scenery and several terrific parks. Bakken Park is home to the Wisconsin Rugby Club, established in 1962. The downtown section contains several great shops and restaurants, such as the Old Town Coffee House, 1855 Saloon and Grill, and the School Grounds Café -- which features live music during the summer.
