It's where Pocahontas was kidnapped in 1613 … and where George Washington lived as a child. Stafford, located along the Potomac River and including part of the Quantico Marine Corps Base, is located along I-95 about 40 miles southwest of Washington DC. Stafford, a large CDP with a population of about 4,400, is the county seat for Stafford County.
This fascinating town features several historic destinations, great shops and restaurants, and easy access to Quantico on its north end and historic Fredericksburg to the south. Accokeek Furnace Archeological Site is one of the area's historic sites, built around 1726. The Principio Company leased the land from George Washington's father, Augustine Washington.
Public Quarry at Government Island contains sandstone that was used to build the White House and the US Capitol building.

Property Ratings at Arbor Grove
I haven't lived in an apartment in 10 yrs. I was skeptical when I moved to Arbor Grove May 2014, this has been a great experience, the office management staff Marie and Irish has been very professional, prompt and effective, they care about this community and it shows! This is a good place to live, nice inside and out.
I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR MORE YRS THEN I'VE WANTED TO ONLY BECAUSE I CANT AFFORD TO MOVE WHEN I FIRST MOVED HERE IT WAS CALLED VINE PLACE APT. IT WAS QUITE NICE AREA THEN AS TIME WENT ON WE WENT THREW MURDERS, DRUG SALES, PEOPLE HANGING IN BREEZE WAY ALL TIMES OF NIGHT KIDS OUT OF CONTROL AND IF YOU LOOK AT THEIR ADVERTISEMENT FOR THIS PLACE THEY LIE LIKE A RUG , IF YOU LIKE BLACK MOLD AND ROACHES COME TO ARBOR GROVE APT.
I've been living here for a very long time. The community has definitely come a long way..... New amenities for the kids and better landscaping. The staff works hard to keep Arbor Grove a premium community!
I have lived here since 2001. I moved in the townhouses in 2008. I daughter loves living here. The management does a good job.
