The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Property Ratings at Amanda Regency Apartments
The Amanda Regency apartments were excellent under the previous owner and property manager. However, shortly after the building was sold about a year ago, things changed drastically for the worse. The property manager is nearly impossible to reach, and the entire building is no longer kept clean and tidy. The gated parking garage does not provide adequate security against vehicle break-ins, and neither the property manager nor the new owners take any steps to ensure safety within the building. Unfortunately, my family has decided to move out.
This building used to be fantastic until it was sold to a new management company at the beginning of this year. The new manager is rude, inattentive, and never on-site. Maintenance requests take forever, and the site amenities have either vanished or become neglected beyond use. I've lived here for a long time and never dealt with pests. Suddenly, there are roaches everywhere, random people parking in the handicapped spot with no placard, and giant trucks parking across two spaces in the assigned garage. Complete and utter chaos as this once wonderful building has become just another SFV slum. It's a shame because this used to be such a wonderful place to live and now the only reason worth staying is the central air.
The apartment I am in is fine, nice open living room with carpet, wood floors in the breakfast nook and kitchen, nice sized bedroom, and a really spacious walk-in closet. I was pretty underwhelmed with the amenities such as the "fitness center" (if you can even call it that) and pool. The apartment is made to look a lot better in pictures, but make sure you do a walk-through before committing. I moved from out of state and had to sign the lease site unseen, and I probably wouldn't have ended up here had I do a walk-through before. Down side of my apartment includes not having a fridge or microwave, small bathroom, and really noisy because of the street. Overall, the my one bed/one bath is good for the price, but there are better options out in the area.
Amanda Regency is one of the nicer apartments in the community. It is extremely close to Lake Balboa making it a convenient location to be close to LA as well as the Woodland Hills area. Overall, the apartment is very pleasant to live in.
