The apartment complex is mostly clean and mostly quiet. I’ve enjoyed living here the past 15 months. Sadly the trash chute is broken on the 4th floor and the room is filled with garbage, and valet trash often forgets to take your trash from the hallway if you live off the main stretch of hall. They used to host a lot of resident events and now they’ve stopped almost entirely. There’s no unique selling point to this place, and compared to other complexes in the area offering more amenities and unique resident events, Alexan Mill doesn’t really stand out in the market. The front office has always been very helpful though and the maintenance team is top notch.

Community events are sparse, there is no dedicated leg machine/press in the gym nor a vertical knee /dip machine ($200-$500) the sauna has made no progress and my downstairs neighbor routinly plays music past midnight that vibrates the floor and/or we can hear. The staff is nice, maintaince is usually prompt, the location is good. Better yardwork and more routine maintaince of the coffee machine would be nice as well. Not a bad place to live but once my lease comes up I will shop around for better offers as at the price point it is not acceptable to be woken up a few times a month by the lower neighbor.

I rated it two stars because Gabriella is amazing and has be one of the few highlights of living here otherwise it would be one star. From promises not being met i.e. dog park is none existent, sauna isn’t coming, complaints never being answered. Hallways smell like weed, the ground floor door is always open sighting a security risk. Also the approval shield process is extremely invasive. For that level of scrutiny I don’t feel this property’s amenities match it like other properties in Charlotte. This has been a disappointing living experience.
Train is a sin. It’s should be illegal to live so close to the train. Gabriela in the leasing office is wonderful she’s why I came here. She would be the only reason I stay. I dont feel like moving but I feel like sleeping

Car got broken into but place is nice clean and everybody I meet is really nice so it’s a great place to live it’s just the people in the city ruin it a little bit but it happens when u stay this near by

Apartment invested with bugs and no urgency in resolving the issue. Garage doors will also stop working randomly or during the slightest small storm. Extremely disappointed.

I really like it a lot, internet is fast, great location near my job and with the optimist hall just a 2 minute walk away offers a lot of great options to go somewhere. Gym is very nice as well as relaxing in the pool as well as the other amenities that come along with it.

I live in one of the studio apartments and I love how spacious it is! There’s so much sunlight through the windows and my closet is huge. I love living here! It’s quiet and in walking distance to optimist.

I’ve been living in this apartment community for half year, and it’s truly been a fantastic experience. The management team is responsive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to help residents. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently, which gives me real peace of mind. The community is well-maintained, with clean common areas, beautiful landscaping, and a quiet, welcoming atmosphere. I also love the amenities – the gym/pool/grill area is top-notch and adds so much value to living here. I feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home. Key fob access has been an issue with most amenities and u had to ask for dolly multiple times for move in. Gabriella however was extremely helpful and professional.

We have loved the inside of the apartment building. The trash is always picked up and the apartment is spacious and bright. However the outside of the apartment is the issue-lots of homeless people that make me uncomfortable walking around outside with my dog after dark. Also people leave their dogs messes everywhere and nothing is done about it (fines please!) Also staff doesn’t do anything about our complaints which is super annoying

Living at Alexan Mill has been an excellent experience. The noise level is low, the walkable neighborhood is exceptional and the maintenance is kept up nicely. The garage is tight for parking, but manageable. Living at Alexan Mill as a whole has been a terrific experience!

Alexan was a great choice for my first apartment in many years. The living space is very comfortable with a perfect kitchen for cooking. A good amount of storage and cabinet space in the uint is great. The amenities are wonderful. The gym is top notch and the rooftop lounge is a great place for a chat and cocktail.
My time at Alexan Mill has been great! Communication is incredible, the complex is lovely, and my neighbors all seem respectful.
