Property Ratings at Alta Sloans Lake
Electrical in building is faulty. Power surges and outages about once a month. Board trips constantly. A/C hasn't worked for a month. Manager Jeremy excuses all of it with and refuses to make any adjustments/accommodations other than a window unit A/C, which is actually less energy efficient than the central that is supposed to be included in the apartment. We won't renew our lease and will make it a point to let anyone viewing the building know of the major issues with this building. If you WFH or enjoy central A/C in the hot Denver summers, definitely go look elsewhere. This isn't it.

Hi Gavin~ Thank you for your perspective. It is true that we were included in some of Xcel Energy's recent power outages and I understand that you recently had issue with your a/c. While we cannot prevent mechanical issues, we have and will continue to address them in a timely fashion (I understand your a/c was replaced last week) and provide temporary solutions such as portable a/c's when a repair cannot be made same-day. I love this bulling and the staff but o especially love how close to Sloan's lake this is and all of the shopping and eating you can do nearby.

I've enjoyed my time living here. The front office staff are friendly and helpful and maintenance requests are always done quickly. It's a nice location by the lake. There is some construction in the area but that seems to be common everywhere in Denver.

I initially had a good experience at Alta. There were some minor issues: security issues (packages being stolen, homeless people sleeping on the 3rd floor, bike theft), my fridge was also broken upon arrival which led to spoiled groceries. Lastly, my apt flooded due to a leak in the washing machine. I was extremely understanding about all of this because it seemed like management was doing their due diligence to fix the issue. I just moved out and was hit with a full repaint charge/ cleaning charge. I asked for pictures and saw a few minor smudges but nothing that should've warranted ~$300 in charges. These people are grasping for straws trying to make their money back from the "free month" of rent. For those of you all who are not from here, this complex is on Colfax and Sheridan. It is an awful neighborhood to live in and they are still charging a crazy amount. The five star reviews are a result of management hosting events and pushing people to write a review, sometimes even in exchange for a bag of popcorn. My advice is to take the 1-3 star reviews seriously.
I am moving to Denver from Los Angeles and the team here was incredible. I felt as though I was touring a Ritz Carlton by their service. Excited to live in the property!
My friend lives here and I always love coming to visit! Beautiful property and amenities, great events, but above all a wonderful leasing team! You can tell they work hard & really enjoy what they do - putting thought and attention into knowing each of the residents and developing a genuine connection. Definitely a very welcoming environment! I’m currently in a lease elsewhere, but will absolutely consider Alta in the future :)
Can't say enough good things about Alta and specifically, the staff. Sydney, Elena, Jeff, and Mariana are incredible. You can tell they work very hard to keep everyone happy and they should know it's appreciated. Complex is super nice, but it's that way because of the people who run it.
Sydney was amazing with my move in process! The complex is very well maintained and the management team host very fun interactive community events!
I have had a positive experience so far in my first few weeks of living here! The staff has been super helpful, especially Sydney and Jeff.
Just all the good vibes when taking the tour, that got into the car and filled out the application.

I’ve been here about two months. So far the staff has been great. The front desk is super friendly. I’ve had a few maintenance issues right off the bat, and Jeff and Mariana helped me right away. Also, they just fed me friendsgiving dinner, which is nice.

I’ve been a guest at Alta Sloans lake many times and they never disappoint. If you’re looking to live within a friendly community where the building actually spends money on their tenants, com here! I’ve lived in many apartments and they have never put on as many fun warm and inviting events. Definitely the spot to be!
This is definitely one of the better experiences I have had with apartments I’m Denver. The apartments themselves have a well thought out layout and nicer finishes and the location is perfect if you want to be walking distance to some things but still a bit distanced from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Super easy to get to sloans lake which has been awesome for me and my dog. Management is always understanding and they throw amazing community events. Highly recommend!
Nice amenities and helpful staff. The location (next to Sheridan and one block from colfax) makes me wish security was tighter. There have been bike thefts and an attempted car jacking because it is easy to get into the garage and complex without a key fob

I enjoyed my time living at Alta Sloan's Lake. The amenities are great, the rooftop has beautiful views, the gym is open 24 hours and there's even a pet wash! The location is great and the staff has been very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this complex if you're looking to move to the area.

The worst apartment complex I have lived in by far. The management here is awful!!! I moved in to a studio apartment that was brand new facing the pool, I was told by other residents as well as management staff that the pool was fairly quiet in the summer but I was completely lied to. I have had to call the police on several occasions for people playing loud music in the hot tub/pool area until 2 in the morning, and many of the individuals that are terribly disruptive do not even live in the complex. We are supposed to have security on site that we pay for but they do nothing. On the night of July 3rd the security officer was out drinking with the individuals in the hot tub playing loud music until 2 am!! Ridiculous!!! Not to mention you pay for "luxury amenities" but I would never be caught dead in the pool or hot tub. There are always people swimming or sitting in the hot tub with their street clothes on, throwing beer cans, food and other items all over. I feel bad for the cleaning staff always having to take care of messes. The first time a noise disturbance happened was in May right after I moved in, I was called the day after and assured that the situation would be taken care of, and I thought it would. The staff were just trying to be nice, they don't actually care about their residents. Now this have been going on for 3 months and I will be breaking my lease to get out of this terrible place. If you are looking for a place to live next to Sloan's Lake this is not it!!! It is not worth the money. So many sketchy people hanging around the apartment being way too loud at night, security does not do anything and the management truly doesn't care. Horrible living experience but I truly hope no one else has to put up with what I did, take this as a warning!
I've loved living here so far! It's a nice location and the apartments are very modern. No carpets in the apartments either which is great!
I've had issues with my unit but Jessina has gone above and beyond to take care of me. Have not had a better experience renting anywhere else.

I recently moved out due to a home purchase but enjoyed my time living at Sloan's Lake. The management is very friendly and helpful and it was great attending the events to meet neighbors. The building is clean and the amenities are well kept.
I was one of the first people to move into Alta Sloans Lake. I have lived in several apartments, and Jessina made this experience unique. She is always kind and goes above and beyond to help. Her tremendous energy and laugh keep you coming back for more. Jessica takes the time to listen and solve any issues that might arise. I feel so at home here thanks to Jessina and her team.
Very happy with the apartment and community. There are so many dogs and a lot of them play together. The office and maintenance staff are really nice. My dog and I can walk to Sloans Lake and there are some beer gardens near by that are pet friendly.
Love my apartment. It is pretty much brand new and the people in the office are really nice. Fun location and if you are a runner the Sloans lake is a block away.

My apartment is awesome. The A1 floorplan has a lot of cabinet space, and the balcony is pretty big. The maintenance team is awesome.

The full complex has electrical issues. Multiple computers have been fried due to their electrical issues and they don’t know how to fix it. Would not recommend this apartment.
I don’t give 5-star reviews often, but when I do, I give it to Alta Sloans Lake. It is hands down one of the best complexes I’ve ever lived in. Management has done a phenomenal job in building community and attending to the needs of the tenants
Moved a few blocks away. So great having the access to the city in a brand new building. Amenities are awesome, staff is awesome!
