Alta Clara

Alta Clara has made my move to the Stoneham area easy with a helpful management team; the community is an inviting place to live with easy access to nature, easy parking, and proximity not only to the downtown Stoneham and Melrose areas, but also with how easy it is to get to downtown Boston with how close the Orange Line is.

We are doing a short-term rental at Alta Clara (we sold our home and are in the process of buying another). Since the first time we visited them through moving in and living here for almost 3 months thus far they leasing management team has been beyond helpful and responsive. Daniel, the Assistant Community Manager, goes above and beyond and for this reason I would not hesitate to rent here again in the future should the need arise.

I have been a resident of Alta Clara for 4 years now and have always shared to everyone how beautiful this complex is. The management here is wonderful and most helpful especially to someone like myself with less than average computer skills. It is a wonderful place to live.

Alta Clara at the Fells is the definition of community and quality. The apartments alone, phenomenal having all major amenities. Such as washer, dryer, dishwasher, sink disposal, microwave and refrigerator included in units. Having the peace of mind of any maintenance. Having parking available and a 24 hour gym. Access to a mailroom for packages. A petspa on the premises. It wasn’t that hard of a decision, when making a choice of residence.

Living at the Fells has been truly exceptional. All of the amenities, the staff goes above and beyond, it is quiet, safe, super clean and this community is very pro dogs!

We are more than happy living here at Alta Clara. The entire staff, office and maintenance, are always helpful. The location is perfect for our needs. We find it very quiet all the time and enjoy being close to nature.

Alta Clara is by far the best residential complex I have lived in thus far. From the clean buildings, all the way to the staff and maintenance response times. The staff are always professional, and quick to answer any questions or concerns. It is a quite, safe environment. I truly have not one complaint. They do a great job at hosting a variety of different activities for all age groups. Everyone in the community is friendly and respectful. Also location is fantastic. 10 minute drive to downtown Stoneham and super markets. Hiking trail located behind the apartment complex is clean and the perfect outdoor activity. Overall, great place to live. Highly recommend!

We are peaceful people, but in this community, it feels like we end up being the ones who have to tolerate everything. Our neighbors frequently assemble furniture, and the downstairs neighbor often bangs on their ceiling with tools in response. They have even written long letters and left them on our door, insisting that we are the ones making the noise. Management claims that the noise could not possibly travel through us to the downstairs unit, yet they still ask us to reduce noise levels, seemingly applying rules based on who complains the loudest. From the very first day we moved in, we noticed that the footsteps here are extremely loud due to the wooden structure, making us uncomfortable. Initially, we thought it was normal and tried to adjust our expectations. However, the downstairs neighbor has repeatedly filed complaints with management about our footsteps, even though we only walk during the daytime and wear slippers to minimize noise. This has been a very unpleasant experience, as it feels like the rules are enforced according to who makes the biggest fuss rather than being applied consistently.

Alta Clara at the Fells feels like home to me, and it’s really special. It’s dog-friendly, and everyone in the neighborhood is super nice and welcoming. Plus, we have fun events here too!

I've lived at Alta Clara for just about 3 years and still loving every moment. Julieta, Daniel, & Donny put so much pride into running the community. All the buildings and common areas are always so clean and the apartments are beautiful as well. I really enjoy calling Alta Clara my home!

The common hallways/carpeting are not kept clean. Parking spaces are much too narrow

One of the nicest complexes I've ever seen! I really love the pool and dog spa!

Alta Clara is the best kept secret! I just love the quiet beauty of the lush greenery of the surrounding trees at The Fells, which provides privacy. I love the modern spacious apartments with high ceilings, and lots of sunshine, providing light through the windows! I also love my neighbors in the complex who always greet you with a smile, friendliness, and support when needed!

Truly a wonderful community that welcomes dogs, has direct access to the Middlesex Fells, amazing amenities and constantly is focused on building community!

Living experience has been very good so far. The only reason for not being "excellent" is because: (1) there are no trash and recycling chutes in each building; (2) there is a very limited number of garages; (3) each building has a package room but not an automated package locker like other apartment complexes; (4) sound insulation between neighbors could be better. Other nice-to-have amenities include onsite professional dry cleaning pickup but that is not high on the wish list as other items mentioned above.

The maintenance service is very responsive, maintenance guys are nice and friendly.

A truly outstanding community. Living here is like being on a staycation and a wonderful resort.

Alta Clara is home. Without any of the worries that come with owning your home. property is beautiful it is so well maintained in and out. Coffee and out door fire pit is such a great bonus pet friendly and people friendly.

I have lived at Alta Clars for just about 2 years now. All the staff work together as a great team and always have the residents best intrests in mind. When the weather is warmer it is so refreshing to take a walk in the fells or a dip in the pool after work in the evenings. I love how the property is close to the city but situated far enough away from major roadways and developments that it is a peaceful place to call home

The staff is top shelf and responsive. The location is convenient to 93 and many restaurants in nearby towns.

The maintenance crew is awesome to work with! They are always super friendly and very responsive, and come over right away whenever there is an issue! I would give them 5 stars :)

I recently stayed here with a friend and not only were the staff and maintenance team great but they went above and beyond. The grounds were amazing and the small events they made me consider renting

I recently stopped here and was blown away with the pet friendly grounds. Especially the pet of the month not only do you think about residents but also our little furry ones.

We needed a temporary place to live while our renovations were being completed and were referred to Alta Clara at the Fells and had a great 4 month experience. Both the office staff and maintenance team were excellent. We enjoyed our time at Alta Clara for sure and certainly appreciated this very well maintained property.

I love the location. Surrounded by nature and close enough to enjoy city living when needed. The staff is great, attentive and quick to right wrongs. This place has been good to me.

This has been my home for almost a year now and having lived in apartments my entire life I can say that this is one of the best places to live. They have awesome events, really treat their residents like they care and have free treats in the lobby 24/7. I plan on extending my stay for as long as possible here.

Recently I took a tour of this residence. The staff and property are amazing. I highly recommend taking a tour of the place or even consider staying here.... They have a pool and big pet community
