I toured Allegro with my partner 2 days ago. Lisa was friendly and well-knowledged. She had an answer to every question that we asked and even provided information we didn’t think to ask that ended up being helpful and a big contributing factor to deciding apply. Not only was Lisa knowledgeable on the complex, but also the neighborhood and made it easy to imagine what living there would be like. She was open to all questions and I left feeling like I got everything answered. This was the best apartment tour I’ve been on and definitely the best fit for what I was looking for in a place! The only downside is that the third party website they use in the application process is very difficult to use and I have spent a whole day trying to work through it with staff.
Maintenance team is great, my ratings on my overall experience is mainly around pricing inflexibility & slow elevators.
This maintenance team is awesome. I put in the maintenance request and was contacted 10 minutes later, the work was completed the same day. I have never received such speedy service!!
The front office ladies (specifically Makayla and Lisa) were amazing! So accommodating and knowledgeable about everything and extremely friendly and personable. There were some issues with our apartment when we moved in but they were quickly taken care of. There is an issue with flies in the building and in our apartment but that’s really the only downside. Great location and our apartment is so bright and spacious. It’s very quiet and you can’t hear your surrounding neighbors which was a nice surprise (I’ve lived in apartments before and you could hear my neighbors every move). Neighbors are really nice and I love that they have community events! The gym is also superb, very clean and a lot of options for its size. Big fan so far!
Allegro at Jack London Square is a great apartment to live in. There have all the modern amenities you want in a building: gym, delivery lock boxes, and new garage doors to improve safety.
I am so glad to have this team of maintenance people. They are responsive, pleasant and knowledgeable.
I really loved and appreciate the way the maintenance team works. They are fast, efficient and very friendly. Allegro at Jack London Square is generally a very good community in general however just beware of the people who may go in the parking garage and rob cars. I have also witnessed a couple of armed robberies in the area so just be careful.
It's less expensive than other places in the neighborhood but still overpriced, especially given then substantial increase in crime in the area and in the buildings themselves. It does not feel safe or secure and management doesn't seem to care.
Moving to a new unit was a breeze. Every question I had about the process was quickly answered.

The maintenance team is awesome. They respond very quickly and their work is efficient and top-quality.
Elevators do not work properly. Office staff rude. The few amenities they offer do not work, like the printer that is forever broken. Similar rent price to other buildings in the area, except that you get more for your money with the others.

I find the staff to be wonderful and accommodating. With that said I have found multiple issues with my apartment, a leaky toilet, grease on cabinetry, broken shades, windows extremely dirty (full hand prints inside), screens and outside windows have clumps of mud, and the balcony doors have hand prints and dirt. There clearly was no attempt to paint.
I have LOVED living at Allegro. Management has been very friendly and accommodating. Maintenance is always very friendly and professional and I adore my apartment.
Resident for 2.5 years. The positive aspects of living here still stand: pet friendly, ok amenities like the courtyard, fun community events every so often. The staff are wonderful and very responsive, and the neighborhood is young but diverse and relatively safe. Some negatives are that I now have very loud neighbors and I am not sure what is being done about it. Multiple times, I have put in repeat maintenance requests because the issue was not fully fixed the first time. I am noticing some wear and tear on appliances (oven handles beginning to fall off, some wall paint peeling in the bathroom, dishwasher stopped working after multiple maintenance requests. There is a courtesy patrol number but no one ever picks up when I call. Those are my only complaints and I appreciate the financial value of living here compared to other places, so unless work things happen I will probably stay here for a while longer.

Nothing positive to say other than the office staff was usually very nice when I called, and maintenance was responsive in resolving work orders.
Maintenance never disappoints. They’ve always been prompt and professional.
The leasing process was seamless. Moving in was easy and the apartment was clean. Upon move in there was some cosmetic damages in the apartment, however, the leasing office was able to schedule maintenance in a timely fashion. Majority of my maintenance requests have been completed within 24 hours. I like how secure the apartment building is and I think it's a good place to live overall.
I have had few maintenance requests, but they are always performed promptly, with good humor and good coordination with me.
I have been at Allegro now for 3 months now and have really enjoyed my time so far. The leasing office continuously communicates what is going on with the community. And they answer any issues in a timely matter and keep the community updated on when things will be fixed.
I wish the owners would invest more money into the property into updating it and maintaining it better, it has so much potential. That being said the staff here is very helpful and overall I’ve enjoyed living here

Being located in JLS is an easy sell for convenience. The apartment we received is excellent as well. However, our primary reason for enjoying our home here is the excellent service that your team provides. Lindzi and Charlotte have been a sincere pleasure to work with and have always been very responsive. Lindzi is just a ball of sunshine with her friendly hellos, and excellent memory. She treats everyone as a friendly neighbor and always makes an effort to say hello and chat when in passing. Your maintenance team is also very professional and great with communication. Their efforts in communication go a long way by helping to set expectations. This is an excellent quality when dealing with residents, as we all know how impatient we can be when it comes to issues in our home. You have an amazing team - from management to maintenance. Thank you for making this the best experience we have ever had with property management.

My partner are very happy here. We just moved in a month ago, but it is so much better than our previous apartment. The leasing and maintenance staffs are so responsive and helpful. You cant beat the area either. We love being able to walk to get a drink or dinner.
We love living here! Both the leasing office and maintenance are extremely friendly and attentive, making sure that any needs we have had have been met. Amenities are a plus to the already great building! All the appliances have worked great since moving in, and the package system is a great way to make sure our packages are safe!
The apartments are super spacious and well kept. The people who live within the community are really nice and respectful. Both of the leasing agents are great -- Lindzi helped me throughout the entire process of signing my lease and continues to help me with anything I need.

I can't ever say enough about the wonderful people and apartments at Allegro at Jack London Square. The office managers are kind, efficient and attentive. The property is wonderfully maintained and the apartments are quiet, spacious and pet friendly. People walk their dogs and the overall atmosphere is relaxed, positive and informal. Monthly activities are arranged by the staff so that people can get to know one another and it promotes the friendly nature of the establishment. I can truly say that I would not want to live anywhere else in Oakland! I'm shy and I've never written a review so I have to remain anonymous. Come down and check things out. You'll want to stay here too!
