A quintessential military town, the community of Lexington Park grew up around Patuxent Naval Air Station shortly after the base was established in the 1940s. Today, the base employs around 20,000 people, most of whom live in Lexington Park or nearby, making the military a major economic and cultural driver for the area.
The landscape is mostly filled by suburban-style neighborhoods, with a rental market including apartments and houses of every shape and size. A few shopping centers scattered throughout the community cater to the residents’ day-to-day needs, mostly located along Three Notch Road and Great Mills Road.
Outdoorsy types will love the easy access to Saint Mary’s State Park, and the close proximity to Chesapeake Bay opens up endless opportunities for boating and fishing.

Property Ratings at Abberly Crest
To start things off, the maintenance closet flooded and all they did was give us a bucket so now there is water damage in the maintenance closet and protruding through the wall that is in the living room. Next in the second bedroom water has been coming through the window and any time they come to 'fix' it all they do is paint over it and wait for it to appear again. I have also had plenty of issues with the fire alarm going off and despite how many times the battery has been replaced they still tend to go off in 3 beep intervals. Also, the internet modem has been replaced 8 times since we moved here 1 year ago. Also light bulbs have gone out quite a few times (they seems to last a couple months before going out again).Also, The paint chips easily on the interior doors. To top it off, all of the HVAC appears very dusty so who knows how often they maintain their HVAC systems.

I'm a fairly new resident with almost 2 full months under my belt here at Abberly Crest. From application to lease signing this has been the BEST apartment search/move I've ever experienced (and I'm not a Millennial) so I have quite a few years in. The architectural design of the buildings and units, makes this complex stand out. That and the great staff (and neighbors)! Coming from the heart of the DMV where you pay a lot for a little, these apartments are affordable, spacious and feel luxurious! I'm so happy I decided to make this move to a new city and happened upon this gem of a complex!
Renting at this apartment has been a great experience. Maintenance is very fast and willing to help. This complex is great and so are all the amenities. I had the easiest time working with the staff here trying to get an apartment on a week notice. This place is great and I would recommend this complex to everyone. Prices may be a little high but for an updated building the price is super worth it. This place is a great starter apartment if you are new to the area! All the spaces are super clean and neat.
Abberly Crest! What can I say?!! Simply put, they were/are the best! I cannot even thing of a problem that i had. Or a problem that they did not solve! Great people, great personalities, great grounds and pool. Amy is dope! Helped me at every turn and she is a BIG Steelers fan like me!! We got along great! The only noise you will hear are the occasional jets from the Patuxent Base not far away. Other than that, it is quiet all the time. Casey is good to go and right by the door. Toni is ready and able to get anything squared away for you. Lastly, Jessica is in the mix as well with insight and number crunching. All great people and it was a joy meeting them and staying at The Abberly Crest Apartments for my time there working on a nearby project! Awesome! Dope!
Abberly Crest is the most refreshing place to live. You couldn't ask for anything better. The people are wonderful here and living conditions are the best. I would highly recommend living here. My daughter -in law were just commenting on it yesterday , saying how much it makes you feel refreshed. They offer so many things and it's a great to place to live.
First, I'd like to say how amazing it is living in Abberly crest. The staff here is very courteous and are always eager to assist with any complaints a resident has. The ambience of Abberly Crestis just spectacular, in regards to but not limited to: aesthetically pleasing landscape, Spacious rooms, state-of-the-art gyms, and it is luxury living for an affordable price!
The new addition to Abberly Crest was a smart building plan to bring the city life to the country life. This is the only apartment complex to offer an elevator in this area. I love the pet - friendly environment and you only have to pay a one time fee your dog/ dogs which save you money because you don't have a monthly pet fee each month. I live in a one bd one bath apartment. I love me walk-in closet and my screen in porch, it's great for the summer months and especially if you have a dog it's great also. I chose this apartment complex because I'm only about 2 minutes from my job on base. The leasing office is always helpful and gives us notices when something is being repaired in the building or outside to keep the community and pets safe. I'm glad I moved here this is the best apartment complex in the Southern Maryland area.
The employees are super friendly and very helpful. The staff made my move easy!. They were very patient and knowledgeable about all the amenities and explained all the details. The apartment complex is just minutes from the Naval Air Station where I work, so it's easy to run home and relax for a quick lunch. The apartments are so spacious and well appointed. I even have a fireplace to hang my Christmas stockings. I have vaulted ceilings and crown molding and a large soaking tub in the master bath. Lots of natural light for my plants and any dog would love the dog play area. The complex is clean and safe and within a few miles of fine restaurants and shopping. I love it here!!! I don't want to leave. P.S. The maintenance staff is professional and prompt. I love that too.
Abberly Crest is a convenient, nice and quiet place to live. If you are working on base it is close enough to have a very short drive to work and not so close that you feel you live at work. Everything is a rather short drive away without being on a main thoroughfare. The surrounding area is quiet and wooded with a park very near by. The apartment complex itself is very well kept with numerous amenities and the apartments are quite spacious. Rent is competitive for the area.
The units are beautiful, some of the nicer apartments in the area for sure! There was NO deposit so that was definitely a plus! It's close to the base, which was something we were looking for. It's also close to basically everything in town! I can't say enough good things about the staff! Our first impression was Natasha. She showed my husband I and me around and was very pleasant and informative! To this day, she greets us with a smile along with remembering our names! It's the little things that make such a big difference! We've had to have the maintenance staff come in for a couple minor things. They were here same day and the problems were resolved quickly! They, too are always friendly and professional! The only downside of living here is we have had to deal with a lot of construction! (its, for the most part, completed now so it shouldn't be an issue!) The staff does a great job in informing us when things will be blocked off for construction. They use newsletters, flyers and emails. It's impossible to not be informed! The landscaping is beautiful! There are two great pool and gym areas! The clubhouses are nice as well. The newest clubhouse has a pool table! We've been very happy here. We even signed a new lease! We would recommend these apartments to anyone!
Abberly Crest is a great apartment to live in. Being newly weds we weren't sure where we wanted to start our new lives together. This place is perfect. It's nestled back on a quiet street but in just 2 minutes you are in the best shopping around. They do a great job at keeping everything clean and up to date. Living on the top floor, the elevator comes in handy as well. This was a great choice for us! We really love it.
I have really enjoyed my stay here. Nice clean apartments, the grounds are very well maintained. The community is really close to the base, and just a short drive to shopping. The management really cares about the residents.
We live in a 2 bedroom 2 1/5 bath, with a baby on the way. Thinking that these new and upgraded apartments would be great! Their really not that great. Besides that they have granite countertops, better layouts with screened in patios and an elevator, thats really about it. All the kitchen appliances are cheap, I would prefer stainless. Almost the corners on the granite are chipped, wood is splitting on a vanity, the garbage disposal spits at me, low flush toilets and our air conditioning isn't working right now. So only being here for about 6 months, we're bout ready to move out. Just make sure you check EVERYTHING before moving in and be sure your happy with your apartment for slapping down $1,700 a month. Not saying all of this is directly Abberly's fault, but they should have hired better builders.

I really, really enjoyed my time at Abberly Crest. I rented a top-floor, one-bedroom with an office in the Phase 1 area, and never had any issues with bugs or noise. The vaulted ceilings were beautiful, as was the crown molding, and the kitchen was a good size. I also liked the built-in computer workstation, which I promptly converted into a bar! The soaking tub was a nice touch, too. Rent was affordable, area was well-lit, and I never felt unsafe. The fitness center and the pool was great, too. As long as you pay attention to your lease terms and pay your rent on time, you'll be fine. The ONLY negative is that you need to get your carpets professionally cleaned, and present the receipt, upon move-out. If you live on the third floor, there's no way for the hoses for Stanley Steamer or other standard carpet companies to reach you, so I had to call ServPro to clean the carpets for me. Otherwise, great apartments!
These are the worst apartments ever. Management not only lied about my contract but the hid bills from us. I found out that water was not included after our water was shut off. We paid tent monthly but were given an eviction notice due to management losing multiple payments of us. Thankfully I kept all records. We had to pay for garbage. There was one dumpster in the whole complex far enough to where they made us have to drive our trash to. When time finally came for us to move out they sent us through the ringer! We had to write a letter just to let them know we intend to move out. Carpets and everything understandingly had to be cleaned but we couldn't do it ourselves. They forced us to hire someone to do it and we had to proof it to them with a receipt. I would never recommend these apartments!!!!
A nice complex, well maintained, conscientious staff. Dog friendly, which is great for those of us with companion pets!
I've been at Abberly Crest for going on 3 yrs. I can definately say that you get the best deal out of all the Apt's in the area. Location/Neighborhood: Great location on quiet back road. VERY close to PAX Overall Value: Not the lowest price in the area but also not the highest! You get more than enough for the money. If you care about how you live then you wont expect a $2:00 rent. Prices are great! Office Staff: Good people! They are easy to deal with and they make sure you feel at home. Guys remember they have a job too and that is to promote the apt's and get new people to move in. But they dont lie! And they dont tell you false things. People over react then go to their own job and act the same way. Just talk to them as humans and not landlords and you will find that they are GREAT people! Maintenance Service: Ive only had one thing that needed to be fixed and it was done ASAP! They even left a nice card on the counter. lol Quality of Amenities: Great Great Great! Nice pool, gym, rec room, dog park. ALLLL Nice. Noise: This is a rather funny one. Everyone is complaining about the new construction! Guys, What do you expect when you live in a nice community! Of course they're going to expand! Wouldnt you! lol. It throws me to hear people complain about that but this area is new to growth. It will be over soon and then the ammenities will get better and grow larger. Then the community will e just as relaxed and quiet as it normally is. Abberly Crest is a great place to live. Even the dogs love it! lol
Apartments are poorly run and staff will tell you anything to get you to move in - there is no support after signing the lease. Current situation with construction is absolutely ridiculous - incredibly noisy and we were told any damage to vehicles is not management's responsibility. Apartment managers simply don't care. I gave it one star because system wouldn't accept no stars.
Lack of professionalism on the part of the office staff coupled with generally poor service forced use to pay the excessive fees to move out early. The apartments are cheaply made and you can hear everything your neighbors are saying and doing. I would not recommend this place to anyone and hope the message gets out to stay away from Abberly Crest.
