Located in the central eastern part of the state of Wisconsin, Fond du Lac is situated at the bottom of Lake Winnebago, about 73 miles northeast of the state capital of Madison and roughly 67 miles northwest of Milwaukee. Its name means “bottom of the lake” in French, though the locals often affectionately call it "Fondy." Fond du Lac is filled with many great small neighborhoods surrounded by the rolling hillsides and farms of the state's vast farming region.
