Property Ratings at 980 Central
The price you pay for what you get is insane. Electricity is crazy expensive via PG&E, whereas my friends across the river pay a fraction of what I do with SMUD. The way water is handled is mental as well. Total water usage is averaged via square footage and split between all residents. So for anyone living here with low water usage, guess what? Your efforts are in vain. Staff is slow to help, packages are either stolen or not delivered, you pay $100/mo for garage parking or $40/mo for a PUBLIC PARKING LOT ACROSS THE STREET. Absolutely no amenities, so, yeah, avoid this place.
I’ve lived here for two years and now work is taking me to the Bay Area. This is honestly the only apartment complex I’ve been in that I would recommend to anyone. Here are my pros and cons. The Pros: 1. The interiors are nice! 2. The exterior is clean, and they actively work to keep it that way, landscaping is A+ here. 3. Maintenance problems are fixed in a timely manner now that the new management team started maybe a year ago. 4. Resident events (which I’ve been told are fun? lol) happen regularly. They work hard to create a community here. (Pre-COVID) 5. There is decent insulation between places so you can’t hear everything your neighbors are doing. Most residents appear to be working professionals, and we tend to be a quiet bunch anyways. The Cons: 3. They own you when it comes to parking its either $125 for garage, or $50 for street parking, which is a block away, and everyone’s car gets broken into on the street. There is hourly metered parking right in front, and if you are over time by even 10 minutes that will be a $65 ticket. At least as of two years ago it might be more now….
