About This Property
Wonderful location in Cedar Mill with one acre forested backyard, the best school district in the area, and surprisingly accessible public transportation close by. This is the large (~1800 sq ft) daylight basement lower unit of a huge house, and features 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one with bathtub. There is complete separation of the two units and multiple independent entrances to this rental, as well as separate parking lots. The current tenants have been there six years, and the top unit has had the same renter for five. The most noteable feature of this unit is that it opens into a forest. It is quiet with some occasional wildlife and a feeling of being away from the city but still in close in terms of access to highway and the shops of cedar hills. This is a short commute to Nike or St Vincent's hospital, and it is quite convenient do a NW Portland commute via Cornell or Barnes if not Hwy 26. Will allow a dog, assuming it is well bathroom trained and not a frequent barker. I pay for water, gas, and garbage. Electricity is split with the upstairs tenant. Though there is some shade because of the trees in the yard, there is possibility for a garden space or similar if the tenant is interested. If it turns out to be a good fit, I will want a credit and background check and will use the online application before signing a lease. But let's discuss before you spend any money on any services. I am looking for a six month lease to start.

Both Cedar Mill and Cedar Hills are tranquil suburbs known for their upscale residential communities. In fact, in 1961, the residential construction of the Cedar Mill and Cedar Hills area became the largest project of its time in the western United States. Because of its proximity to Downtown Portland and to central shopping centers, Cedar Mill and Cedar Hills both have growing populations.
Since their development, the communities have added more houses and residential enclaves, followed by a number of top-notch schools and community centers. The area booms with a community atmosphere, convenient shopping centers, and peaceful local parks.
The Cedar Mill and Cedar Hills communities lie within Beaverton, and traveling to Downtown Portland, just seven miles to the east, is an easy commute. Exciting attractions like Washington Park, Oregon Zoo, Portland Japanese Garden, Pittock Mansion, and Providence Park are just minutes away.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
