About the Listing Agent
Derek Simpson
Residential Properties Ltd.
Born and raised in Lincoln, RI my passion for real estate and design began at a very young age. My fascination for historic homes peeked during my cross-country days @ Moses Brown, my runs turned into neighborhood tours and I dreamt about one day living in a historic East Side home. Sunday open houses were a treat and design magazines kept me occupied for hours. After graduating from Bates College in 2012 I purchased a unit at Waterplace in downtown Providence, quickly putting my design touches on my new blank canvas. Over the next 10 years I "flipped" 10 units in downtown Providence. I carved out my own niche and enjoyed every second of living in these incredible high-rise buildings. In 2022 I completed my first "home flip" on the East Side, quickly learning how to preserve the historic character of the home while updating the space for modern needs. In 2020 I became licensed in real estate and found that it was an effective way to capitalize on my real estate obsession. Helping to guide buyers and sellers is extraordinarily exciting and rewarding. I enjoy helping my clients see the potential in a property, whether it's a simple addition of wallpaper or a complete floor plan re-design. Building trust is the key to a successful relationship, and my goal is to create a client portfolio of friends and colleagues that trust me as their go-to real estate professional. I want my clients to use my passion and experience to their advantage, and I hope to create a rewarding experience for each of my clients.
