About This Property
- The Farmingdale Condo - Welcome to the Farmingdale Condo! This sun filled one-bedroom condo is part of the popular Farmingdale condominium complex that is conveniently located off Route 4 and minutes from the UConn Health Center, Miss Porters School, and the Jackson Laboratory. The first thing you will notice is the spacious living room that combines with the front entry and dining area to give it the popular “open layout” that most renters seek. This combo space allows for almost any size furniture to work and makes entertaining easy. There are also three large windows that drench this space in natural light and have a terrific view to the green courtyard. The kitchen has recently been updated with new shaker cabinets, granite counters, and a new stainless-steel stove. For a small footprint, this kitchen packs a big punch. There is dishwasher, large undermounted sink, and terrific cabinet storage. There is even some space for a small table or high top. The best part of the condo is that it’s on the second floor and no one lives above you! The second story (top floor) units at Farmingdale are very popular for this fact and are always in demand. This added privacy and peacefulness is worth the one flight of steps. The apartment has a built in A/C unit in the living room wall to conveniently not block a window. The bedroom in the back is above average size and large enough for king size bed. There is full bathroom with a tub/shower combo conveniently across from the bedroom. This is a wonderful and quiet complex that is over 80% owner occupied condos, not a rental community. The condo comes with a 10’x8’ storage unit in the basement. There is a sparkling blue pool on site that overlooks Dunning Lake. An ideal spot to catch some sun and relax. The condo is walking distance from the Farmington River and across the street is the popular Toro Loco for drinks on the deck (with another lake front view) and great Mexican food. One block away is the stunning new Wood-n-Tap that’s on the Farmington River! Farmington is a quaint town with highly rated schools. Stop and Stop is conveniently located about a mile down the street. This is a great location! Please keep in mind there is a strict application process that focuses heavily on credit. A minimum of 675 credit score is required. There is also a background, credit, job and income verification. Only one-month security deposit required with a strong application. One-year minimum lease. Cats only per association rules. One assigned parking spots but two spots available. HEAT AND HOT WATER INCLUDED! Tenant only pays for electric. Owner pays for condo fee. Washer and dryer on site. Please email for the fastest and easiest way to schedule a private tour or answer any questions. Please check to see if this property is still active (some sites take weeks to remove old listings). While Farmington is only about eight miles southwest of Downtown Hartford, it feels more like a wooded resort town. The Farmington River meanders through the heart of Farmington, lined with picturesque parks. Narrow roads wind along hills, through the forested countryside and past the roadside stands of local farmers. But Farmington has another side -- a thriving business side, with major companies like Cisco Systems, United Technologies Corporation, Beazley USA, and iTech Solutions located in the city.
Farmington is the oldest settlement west of the Connecticut River. English colonists arrived here in 1640, attracted by the rich soil along the river. The town and river were named in 1645. Main Street features several colonial estates dating back to the 17th century, and George Washington referred to the settlement as the "village of pretty houses.
