Bellerose is a small Nassau County village on the eastern edge of Queens—in fact, it shares its name with a neighborhood inside Queens proper. The community is almost entirely residential, largely populated with charming suburban homes and small apartment buildings. Jamaica Avenue on the north side of town serves as the main commercial corridor, lined with several popular restaurants and neighborhood taverns that serve as popular after-hours hangouts. The Triple Crown Diner in particular is a longtime local favorite, supplementing its classic fare with several Italian offerings as well.
