About This Property
For rent is a 1 bedroom apartment with a large den. The den includes a closet. The apartment is located at 799 Eastern Ave. It’s in a 2 unit building that is behind another 2 unit building. So the building is set off the street a bit which offers more privacy, less commotion/noise, a small yard & a private porch in a wooded area. Partial LVP flooring & partial carpet. Beautiful kitchen. Still waiting on the carpet cleaner, so the carpet will look better than shown in the photos. Snow shoveling & salting will be the tenants responsibility, it will be a shared responsibility with the upstairs tenants(they are great). The walkway is on a slope & can get pretty slick in the winter so keep that in mind. Tenant will also bring the garbage bin to the street on trash day. The electric & gas are the tenants expense. No pets for this apartment. The apartment is going to be ready for rent this week, so I kindly ask that you don’t reach out if you aren’t looking to move right away. The rent is $800 & the security deposit is $800, so $1,600 is needed to move in- sorry no exceptions. To qualify for this apartment you need to consistently earn $2,400/month. Please call for more info. Thank you for your interest!

A strong tradition of industry and innovation continues to influence the local culture—General Electric, historically one of Schenectady’s powerhouse employers, has re-invested in the city with renewable energy initiatives, and many of the old manufacturing buildings have been repurposed to house locally-owned businesses in recent years. Streetcars make it easy to traverse the city, and local rail service connects Schenectady to nearby communities such as Albany, Troy, and Saratoga Springs.
The city’s parks and natural surroundings offer lots of opportunities for outdoor activities. Golf and disc golf are popular among locals, and in the winter, several ski areas (in New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts) lay within an hour’s drive of your Schenectady rental. The performing arts have a strong presence, from Broadway shows at Proctors to classical recitals at the Union College Concert Series to free outdoor performances at the Music Haven Stage in the summertime.
