Fully furnished pet friendly renovated 100-year old bungalow at the intersection of up and coming Woodlawn and East Lake neighborhoods of Birmingham, AL. 10 minutes from UAB/downtown Birmingham and less than five minutes from Birmingham Shuttlesworth International airport (with no airport noise). Month to month rental includes furniture, kitchen appliances/cookware/dinnerware, utilities, high speed internet, and an alarm system. The house--named Rebecca after a previous long term owner--has lots of space to relax, incl. a large covered front porch, living room, kitchen, breakfast nook, laundry room, bath, and sunny back deck Rebecca features a keypad entry lock, one bedroom with a queen bed and one with a double bed, 40 inch smart tvs and workspaces with fast wi-fi in each bedroom. 10 foot ceilings in most of the house. The front porch is huge and inviting--a great place to hang out and enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine. Off street parking is available in the driveway to the right of the house. Ample free street parking is available in front of the house. East Lake and Woodlawn neighborhoods are older, urban neighborhoods close to downtown, with some homes in the area needing renovation and others already having been renovated. Overall, it is on the upswing. The street on which Rebecca is located is quiet, and the neighbors are friendly, with a half dozen empty lots on the block where new homes will be built in early 2024. Some traffic noise can be heard, (especially in the back yard) from 1st Avenue N, one street to the north (behind the house). A well-kept church is on one side of the house. As in any city, it is wise to be aware of your surroundings at all times.
