Private bedroom available in a beautiful hilltop home tucked into the hills of Mt. Washington just above Highland Park (Northeast LA). It feels like a nature retreat surrounded by trees, wildlife, and gorgeous sunrises while still being just a 10-min drive from great restaurants/bars, grocery stores, parks, and public transit. Mt. Washington is one of Northeast LA's hidden gems, a historic hillside neighborhood with winding roads and a serene, rustic feel. Think a mini Topanga Canyon meets the Italian countryside. :) It's a two-story, 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath house. Shared spaces are on the first floor, and all bedrooms are upstairs. You'd be sharing a full bathroom with one other female housemate. The bedroom is unfurnished (can be furnished if needed), with vaulted wood beam ceilings and a walk-in closet with built-in drawers. I'm the homeowner and a small business owner who mostly works from home. I have a busy, active life but also love downtime at home, and I've put a lot of care into creating a warm, welcoming space. A new housemate will be moving in August 1. She's a young professional who recently relocated from DC and works in film editing at a post-production company here in LA. About You: Kind, clean, considerate, communicative. You take initiative around the house and clean up after yourself. Ideally, you work outside the home at least part of the week and are looking for a peaceful place to come home to. The home centers around cleanliness, mutual respect, and house guidelines. We all pitch in to keep the shared spaces clean on a day-to-day basis, and we have a housekeeper come once a month for deeper cleaning. If your motto is "leave things as clean (or cleaner) than you found them," you'll probably feel right at home here. Otherwise, the vibe is pretty relaxed, with occasional dinner parties, movie/game nights, and BBQs.
