South Central is an up-and-coming neighborhood located directly south of Downtown Wichita. As one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, South Central features quaint single-family houses and cozy, modern apartments. While living in South Central, be sure to visit the Kansas Firefighters Museum at Lincoln Park in the center of the community or head a few minutes south to OJ Watson Park, which has lakes for fishing and paddle boating, trains and pony rides, miniature golf, and picnic shelters, as well as educational programs for kids.
