THIS IS NOT AN APARTMENT, BUT A STAND-ALONE GUESTHOUSE ON A RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY. THE STATED MONTHLY RENTAL IS FOR SINGLE OCCUPANCY, ADD $350.OO FOR DOUBLE OCCUPANCY. Elegant, cheerful guesthouse on the grounds of a designer midcentury home in beautiful Altadena, California surrounded by lush tropical and desert grounds that define the iconic California experience. Tucked back on a private drive with its own entrances to both the front yard and backyard pool area, this cozy abode offers rare privacy, peace and quiet in one of the most leafy, desirable areas in Los Angeles situated in the foothills above historic Pasadena with stunning views of the San Gabriel mountains. The location is ideal for those who love nature, beauty and hiking without sacrificing easy access to urban conveniences and culture. The Rose Bowl, The Norton Simon Museum, The Huntington Gardens, Cal Tech, Art Center and NASA’s JPL are just minutes away. The grounds are ideal for entertaining friends or small groups. Parking is provided. The spacious abode is equipped with everything you need for extended stays including the option of a free cleaning service once a month. There are two XL twin beds whose lux throw pillows enable one or both beds to convert to a couch during the day. Also included is a kitchenette, BBQ, multiple outdoor eating areas, a work area with a large desk, a sizeable bathroom with a Hollywood style make-up mirror, WIFI, a TV with major streaming services, a fantastic collection of art books and more. A parking spot is provided for one car, steps from the cottage. We allow dogs as long as they are house-trained, not aggressive, leashed coming and going and do not bark incessantly when left alone. Our backyard is completely enclosed and a great spot for your fur baby to hang out and take care of business. We also offer a $35.00 a day pet sitting service (pending our availability) if, for example, you want to take a weekend getaway where dogs are not allowed. We love dogs and have much experience caring for them. For the past six years the guesthouse was a perpetually booked five-star Airbnb for short-term rentals. Now entering our senior years, we are transitioning to longer term stays to have more freedom and time to travel. We earned our longtime Superhost status in part because of our flexible nature toward guests and willingness to accommodate their individual needs.
