About 502 Amsterdam Ave New York, NY 10024
This will be a 1 year lease starting May 1, 2018 for 1 bedroom in a 2 bedroom apt. About the room: Large bedroom (10x10.5) with two windows that bring in lots of natural sunlight. We face the quiet backside of the bldg. Working heat and A/C unit in room. Room can fit a Queen/Double bed (you can walk around the bed - NYC luxury), nightstand, 2 dressers, large standing mirror, bookshelf, desk and rack for clothing. There is a large closet in the living room that is free for your use! Room can be left semi-furnished for an additional cost. About the apt: Located in the beautiful UWS on Amsterdam Ave between 84/85th st, right across from the famous Jacobs Pickles! We are 1.5 blocks from the 86th 1 subway stop and about a 5 min walk from the 86th BC subway stop. The crosstown 86th bus stops a block away if you need to get to the east side quickly. We are also very close to Central Park - which is a huge perk for the warmer season! This apt is located on the 5th floor of the bldg (really not as bad as it seems). The kitchen is separate from the living room, has a new stove, plenty of counter space and cabinetry. The 2 bedrooms sit on opposite sides of the apt, so there is complete privacy. There are windows in every room that bring in a lot of natural sunlight. We face the side/back of the bldg so you won't hear any street traffic. The apt is mostly hardwood with tile in the kitchen/bathroom. Living areas are completely furnished, only thing you may need to bring are a few more cooking pots. The bathroom is a bit narrow but has a large tub with a new faucet and sink with a vanity that also allows for plenty of storage. The Super lives in the bldg, is incredibly nice and responsive. Never had an issue with the mgmt company. No history of any problems in general. About the roommate: Female, 30 yrs old, high school sign language teacher. Honestly the best roommate - she is the sweetest, most caring, and rational person I've met in NYC. She contributes to all cleaning and toiletries expenses without being asked. Never had an type of issues with her. Best roommate I've had in NYC in 6+ yrs. She is also fun and great to chat with about NYC life. We'd ideal look for someone with the same traits - Hardworking, clean, conscious of others, and respectful! Costs: Utilities (PSEG, wifi) usually run $75 pp/month. We have a Roku with several streaming apps for free TV watching. Rent: Your room's rent is $1570. You set up monthly payments via the mgmt company's online portal - super easy. No couples please, no undergrad students, no huge partiers. Cats - 1 negotiable (cat currently lives here but will be moving out 5/1). If you're interested, please respond with your contact info, legit social media links, and details about yourself/living style/job/etc. To fully qualify for the apt, you'll need to fill out an application form, provide one month's security and provide proof of income. Looking to solidify a roommate by April 15th. This apt is beautiful and in an amazing location so we expect it to fill quickly!
