About This Property
(860) 233-5000 - The Stebbins Brook Lane Colonial - Welcome to 5 Stebbins Brook Lane. This dollhouse colonial is one of many similar colonials in the Pine Hill Neighborhood off of Hopmeadow St. There is a great history behind theses antique colonials that were built in the early 1900’s and were owned by the manufacturing company for their workers. Since this area has transformed into unique single families and a very desirable close-knit neighborhood. Although the homes are very similar, each has its own characteristic signature and the collection of them makes it a distinct and special location. You are tucked away, but just one minute off of Route 10/202 which makes getting north to Granby or Southwick, Mass or going south to Avon or Hartford convenient. You can walk to Benny’s or the popular Brookside Bagels for breakfast or the Big Sky Gym. Simsbury center is less than a mile away. Some of the best pizza in the state can be found at Little City, just down Hopmeadow. Simsbury is nationally recognized town because of its highly rated schools and activities. In the summer there is a wonderful summer concert series. Hiking, canoeing, mountain climbing, biking, kayaking, are all available just outside your door. A quintessential New England rural town. The house is located near the end of a shared driveway. A great spot to ride bikes and play. There is a stone paver patio and a small front porch for extra outdoor living space. When you walk into the kitchen you will notice the updated granite kitchen, tile backsplash and newer stainless-steel appliances. This is a super kitchen and a real highlight of the house. There is under-mounted kitchen sink, all brushed nickel hardware and fixtures, curved cabinetry, ice maker/water dispenser. There is space saver stainless steel microwave above the range to maximize the counter space. This was a professionally designed kitchen and the space is well used. There is also room for a table and there is nice pantry cabinet for more storage. There is a half bathroom on the first floor along with the cozy living room in the front of the house that gets a lot of natural light from the oversized windwos. The second floor are two bedrooms of average size and both could fit queen beds. There is updated full bath on this floor. We installed a period “diamond” ceramic floor tile about six months ago that fits in perfectly with this historic home. There is newer granite vanity and tub/shower combination. The third floor is the third bedroom or bonus space. It’s a cozy space being carpeted and a nice hideaway from the rest of the house. The basement is where the washer and dryer are located. The washer and dryer are included in the rental. The house also has a pellet stove to help with heating costs and make the house toasty warm. There is some additional storage space in the basement. Overall, it’s not a very large house, but it’s great use of the space available and at a terrific price point for a single family and the benefits that come along with a house like the added privacy, quiet enjoyment, and storage. The house will definitely feel larger than the square footage. The updates are a nice bonus. Please keep in mind we have a strict application processes that focuses heavily on credit. Good credit is a must. There is also a background check, employment and income verification. One month security deposit with a strong application. Pets considered on case by case basis. Tenant is responsible for heating (oil and pellet stove), electric, water, snow and lawn care. Please apply online at www.lasalarealestate.com. If you have any questions or would like to setup a showing, please don’t hesitate to email. Thanks for considering this for your next home. Anthony (RLNE3625988) Other Amenities: Parking.
