A tiled kitchen (with dishwasher) and half bath are off of the entry hall, along with interior stairs down to the carpeted bedroom level. Step out the exterior kitchen door to a private deck (9 ft x 18 ft) surrounded by trees. An exterior spiral staircase takes you down to street level- rear access to the building on Prescott Street. Again, the two bedrooms and full bath are on the lower level. One bedroom has dimensions 11 ft x 13 ft and a good size closet. It faces Harvard Street so is half a level below that front sidewalk. The other bedroom (or choose for your office) is 9 ft x 12 ft with a door that leads directly outside on grade level to the rear spiral stair area and gate access to Prescott Street. An alcove in the bedroom hallway can be used for desk/office/storage space and has an adjacent bathroom door, plus two large storage closets- one with a washer dryer, provided by the owner. $3225 per month, plus utilities. First, last, and HALF month’s security deposit at time of signing. Call or text Don, the owner, and schedule a viewing this week!

Neighborhood

Established in 1800, the Charlestown Navy Yard was one of the original six yards formed to support the United States Navy and is one of the oldest shipbuilding facilities for the military branch. For 174 years, this location was home to skilled works, naval officers, sailors, and the U.S. Marines. Today, it attracts thousands of tourists and offers lavish apartments, condos, and townhomes with awe-inspiring waterfront views.

The heart of the neighborhood is Charlestown Naval Shipyard Park and is preserved as a historic site open year-round for visitors. Charlestown Navy Yard is also home to two historic ships: USS Constitution and USS Cassin Young. For even more history, visit the Boston National Historical Park.

Locals frequent Paul Revere Park for scenic city views, public art, a dog park, and playground. Sailing is very popular here and you can learn to drive the boat at one of the many sailing schools in the area.
