Horrible Landlord
I moved in November of 2021 and lived there until October of 2022. Unfortunately I came from out of state and was not able to see it in person before renting. If apartment 5 is actually 500sqft, they need to learn how to measure. It might be 360. Super small! During the first part of the winter, I was noticing how brutally cold I was getting. It’s an all bills paid unit. I was told that the “girls downstairs” controlled the heat. Seems fair, right? I was bundled up. I sent a couple emails with no response. I got a thermometer in there. It was averaging 48-52 degrees at night. It took pictures and 2 weeks of pestering the landlord to change things. When he came and actually installed a heating unit, he claimed no one ever said anything was ever wrong. He made me feel like it was all on me. The same time he brought in a heater, he plastered “no smoking” signs all over the building. My next door neighbor smoked heavily. I complained several times. Nothing was ever done about it. When I moved out, my vacuum was having issues. Everything else was super clean. He charged me $200 of my security deposit for things he made up. This is not someone you want to rent from. Very rude!
